    00 SAN seating arrangement

Hi new to Nautiques, not new to forums!! tried searching for this because i'm sure it has been covered, but i couldn't find it anywhere!

I have been looking at a 2000 SAN, it only has the row of seats along the V-drive instead of the wrap around seating. Every other 00 i look at has wrap around. Can anyone shed some light onto why is's like this? and can it be changed? can i buy cushions from the dealer or used to make it wrap around? thanks

I have a 2000 with the extra seat you are referring to. It is not a huge asset but if you really wanted one any worthy upolstry shop could make one and you'd be good. As for me, the only boat i'd buy is one I could pay cash for. Don't finance a 9 year old boat.

It's my understanding dealers could special order boats without the "connector" seat portion on the port side and the rear bench and observer seat were more traditional as you'd find in the direct drive models. My 01 is set up this way. You can see a couple more in this thread. http://planetnautique.com/index.php?...highlight=wrap

You may be able to order new cushions/skins for the rear seat port corner, the "connector" seat and the observer seat and with some additional carpet and a little fabrication skill convert to a wrap-around. I'm consistently amazed at what people on this board are able to accomplish if they set their mind to it!

I have the port seat base that completes the wrap around seating. It's just sitting in my garage collecting dust. It came out of 2001 Super Air and has tan carpeting on it. I also have the factory seat cushions in tan for the entire wrap around.

Offering, I would like to see someone, put then to good use. I don't need then anymore. I built custom seat bases that were taller and wider. I had Berlin Boat Cover make me new seat cushions to fit my new seat bases. It came out really nice! Looks factory! If anyone wants my old bases and cushions, shoot me a P.M.

Both are great boats....I think I'd go with the 03 SANTE. Mainly because of the upgraded instrument cluster. But I'm a little biased...I really can't complain at all about my 03. Can't really go wrong with either.
