    210 weight for wakesurfing

I have an 08 210 and i was wondering how much weight and where you put it in your boat. currently i have a 350 in the back/under in the locker a 350 under the seat in front of the locker, nothing in the ski locker and a 540 in the bow walkway it goes down to the begening of the drivers area. Then i also put people in the back sitting on the step.

It sounds to me like your boat may be too listed. I don't use as much weight as you do but I've found that if the boat is listed too much to one side the wake becomes very steep and the pocket gets really short. I fill up the rear tank on the side I want to surf, throw a 500lb fat sac on the floor right in front of the motor (works well as a foot rest ) and then fill up the belly tank, this way we can easily switch the side we are surfing by draining and filling the rear tanks we need. Then I just shuffle people to the side we want to list to and the wave is awesome. We usually have a guy out on the transom as well.

The wake is actually a little bit too long and not tall enough.

it is worth your money to get a custom board shaped for you. the one sized fits all approach of the big board manufacturers will work, but you will get a much better ride that is designed for your height, weight, skill level, and amount of weight you are running in the boat.

as for your wave, sounds like you need to slow down just a hair. i try to make mine list as much as safely possible (230), and routinely run a 750 in the locker, a 500 on the seat, a 500 in the floor, and around a 600 in the belly.

We're still trying to dial in wakesurfing weight on our 04 210. Last week I was finally able to let go of the rope. We had the port and center ballast full, plus 120 lbs of lead on the port side locker, 240lbs of lead in the bow on the port side. 750lb fat sac on the port side seats. I ride an Obrian Alias @ 10 MPH. The wake was big but close to the boat. once we were able to let go of the rope we were only about 1-2 foot off the swim platform. I've got a long distance friend who surfs a lot and owns an MC X45 who keeps telling me to "sink that hog" so we'll keep adding weight. My next move will be to add a fat sac in the bow in the walkway. I not sure on you're hull but I'd try the 350 on the bow surf side and that 540 in the back surf side.

I heard that you should fill both back factory ballast and belly put a 540 in the front and two 750 on the side your surfing and one 350 under the seat your surfing on and a 350 in the ski locker. Am i right or is that too much wieght.

                  210 weight for Wakesurfing

I have a 2010 SAN 210. We get a killer wake with the following.
We have all hardtanks overflowing into fat sacs. The rear lockers each have a overflow fat sac of 270lbs. The Belly has an overflow fat sac shaped as an arrow filling the entire ski locker area and internal bow (800lbs fat sac alone).
We add 1 additional 750 lb surf sac to the seat on the side you are surfing. The wake is killer. Still not as long as the enzo but as good as it gets for the 210 as I have tried every configuration imaginable. If less than 3 people in the boat we will add another 270lb sac to the side of the surfer. From here adjust the hydrogate according to the weight of the surfer or whatever he likes.

Do you have pictures of how your boat sets in the water with all this weight added?

This is the set up which I found works the best for my 2002 SAN with right handed prop rotation (important in nautiques to determine which side wake will end up being better)

On each side of the V-drive I have 1100# Surf sacs. I fill the surfside as much as I can, probably close to 950-1000#, and the opposite side about 1/3 or less full. I have about 300 pounds of lead I use (in 50# sacks) to fine tune areas of the wake while wakeboarding, and I usually lay those on the surf side as well. I have a 750# sac I place on the surfside seat against the gunnel (but I think I am going to upgrade to the 1000#+ L shaped bllast that goes on the seats from FlyHigh). I fill the 350# ski Locker, and the 650# bow sac. This set up throws a waist high wave, that allows me to ride without the rope on most stock boards (liquid force fish, and venture, ronix koal and their longer noseriding board). The pocket is probably anywhere 8-15 feet behind the swimstep.

This wave was without much of the weight, but shows that you definitely can get a decent pocket and wave which you can ride for thousands of yards without a rope. (I think this pic was taken with approximately 1450#s less than my current set up)

We have two plumed enzo sacs in the back and one nautique center sac plumed and about 100 pounds in the nose... killer wave on our 08 210. its hard to tell but the wave is a lot taller that it seems. Click image for larger version

We have an 07' 210 and this is our wake with full port tank, 2x 350lb sacs, one on the rear seat on the port side and one in the port locker. We don't fill the belly tank but I want to try that to lengthen the wave a bit. This picture is with just the driver. The more people there are the bigger it gets.Click image for larger version

Put some weight in the belly, and a little in the bow. Couple passengers on the port side. I think you will get what you are after without too much effort.

I have a 2010 210 and run 750sac piggy backed off the factory tank port side, an under seat bow sac. I usually fill everything and would like to add 400 on the seats and maybe a 750 in front of the motor under the adjust read seat.
