    Larger swim platform

Is is possible to use a swim platform from the newer boats on my 1998 Air Nautique? I like the new ones for the extra size and also being composite with rubber cover.

I know this isnt exactly a good compairson but I took a composite platform off a 2003 196 and installed it on a 2005 206 that had a teak platform. All I had to do is loosen the screws for the brackets on the platform slide it into place then tighten the screws back again the brackets were about 1/8-1/4" off. I too love the composite platforms. I hope this helps.

The key would be if the curvature of the transom on your 98 is the same as the platform you plan on using. Lvnspeed's example of switching platforms between a 2003 196 and a 2005 206 is easy due to the fact that the transoms are very similar in shape.

I got lvnspeeds 03 206 platform, it fit perfect on my 97 closed bow ski. There was a significant size difference but the curvature was identical as well as width. Thanks lvn, we love it.
