    Wedges vs. V drive sac

SO i am stuck between getting the wedge sacs or just getting regular sacs. I know the wedge fits in the spot really nice but you can get better deals on the regular sacs. Any advice?

Measure the height in your compartments to see if you'll use the volume of the full sacs.

You buy the v-drive sacs and I will trade you my wedge sacs. I removed all my hard tanks and don't need the wedge.

I have 750's for the rear but use the 400 for surfing between the observer seat and rear seat.

I'd get wedges because they are easier to plumb in by "T"ing off the current ballast system.

Well you don't say what kind of boat you have. I called the manufacturer (Fat Sac) and my sense was that the wedges were for one of the older models. They recommended I get the V-drive version, and not the wedge for my '09 230.

I have the V-drives and they were easily installed ad fit well on top of my factory tanks.

KatyTX: did you put the 750lb sacs on top of your factory ballast? i'm wanting to add sacs on top of my factory ballast on my '08 230 and someone told me that a 750 would fit on top of the factory ballast but i haven't measured it yet.

Put a 750 in the back locker and on the seat put a 900 pounder put 350 under the seat were the 900 is and an intergrated bow sac in the bow plus alittle more weight like 250 or 350

I did not get the 750's. Lion90 did put the 750's in his. They fit and I recall he doesn't fill them all they way, but not sure. Look at his link for photos and a "how-to" http://gallery.nesfeder.net/gallery2...?g2_itemId=331

                          Here's a post where Lion90 talks a little bit about it. http://www.planetnautique.com/index....wtopic&t=15206

and JWard made a good point. The wedge shape ones match up with the wedge shape tanks. My 2009 230 has a rectangular, not wedge shape.

I got the ones that are part of the Nautique package. They hold 400 pounds each. They are the 701's. See http://fatsac.servehttp.com/FlyHigh/FlyHighSacs.html for more details
