    220 gone!

Who could expect the 220 to be gone. did they just erase it from their line or did they just not have it on their website.http://www.nautiques.com/

I'm also surprised to see the Byerly 210 on the list. Figured that'd just be something you know about, or a pic for the 210.

its been rumored that it was going to be removed from the line up. Looks like my boat will depreciate some more, ye ha! Doubt its going to make it any type of collector piece!

i just went back to the website and you can still build them along with the two ski nautiques and the crossover. So if you wanted one you could still get one. I would also think the byerly 210 would go but it is also a brand new boat came out in 2008 or 2009.

The Byerly 210 was supposed to be a limited production run of 73 (I believe) boats.

By the way, I was never a huge fan of the 220, but I spent last weekend in a brand new 220 and I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised with the boat. I had always heard stories of it being extremely weight sensitive. We really liked the 220 that we used. I still probably wouldn't order one, but my thoughts on the 220 have totally changed after driving and riding behind one for a few days.

Rumor is that it's the 13230, a direct drive instead of V drive. Engine displacement is 1.56 million cubic inches and drinks 1,660 gallons of bunker crude per hour (significantly cheaper than refined petrol). To avoid having to refill too often CC chose to effectively build a tank and call it a boat. He he he he :-) Since many people can surf together CC are calling it the Ultimate Family Wakeboard Boat.

the 220 never got a fair shake, most likely because it's seating and storage was overly innovative. i was a naysayer and everyone that i brought on my 220 had the exact same experience as jeff. the irony is that CC did exactly what everyone was asking for: build a boat that had similar wake characteristics to the legacy 210 that had more room...they never credit for it because of the seating...

i currently own said 220 and a 230. if i could build the perfect boat it would have the interior of the 220 and the sun deck of the 230. the storage humps are priceless in the 220. they compliment the rear facing bend perfectly. in the 230, only one person can lean back on the bench comfortably because the drivers seat gets in the way quickly...

Is it any more weight sensitive than an old SAN? My Air Nautique was very weight sensitive in that the weight had to be balanced side to side to about 50lbs. I'm trying to decide what boat to get next and have always liked the layout of the 220, but everyone I talk to says to get a 230. I really need to test drive/ride each one.

The 220 had a fair shake. It really did. It had the opportunity to introduce the leanback seating, an updated hull in the 211/226 vein and a nice evolutionary step forward for the company's interior layout. It is a good design and a good boat. Current owners are lucky to have such a nice boat. My guess is that it comes back but with the reported side to side sensitivity issue fixed in a year or 2. I knew for awhile that either the 226 or the 220 was going away. I very much expected it to be the 226 for good, not as a reintroduced boat.

(As it turns out, the 226 comeback model is impressive. Actually I think the 226 and 216v are both super impressive boats.)

Good posts on this boat, I think that CC built a very good "updated" 210 for the riders that wanted the steep wake, and they were able to develop a better series of hulls because of the feedback from the 220.
I remember asking on my last factory tour in Dec.08 when the 220 was going to be updated, and I got a smile from our tour guide who said, "that boat is only 4 model years old."
I really liked the innovations that CC built into this boat, and I like the size of this boat, but I think that the 230/236 is a better layout and the walkthrough is really nice to have.
Ok, let's start the guessing now, 22' feet no humps, walkthrough and a diesel option? Maybe they will finally bring back the big block engines?

Miljack I actually disagree about a couple of points.

Regarding the new 210, I think they built a good boat there, but not the right boat for "riders that wanted the steep wake" etc. The updated 210 is not the first boat I'd look at from Correct Craft, coming from the standpoint of being an 'old' 210 owner. I'd be inclined to look at the 230, new226, 216v, and 220 first actually, in that order. That 210 is not to be mistook as a direct slipstream replacement for the old Super Sport based 210. It isn't. It's very different. If you're expecting something that's basically the same... well... ...just don't expect that.
