    SV 211 Replacement Carpet

Like others have written , the snaps are pulling through my SV 211 carpet and the rubber backing is breaking into little pieces. The label is for a company called SynTec, but they don't sell to individuals. I found a company called the Mat Works that can replace them for about $400 shipped. They said they have a backing that will not crumble after a few years. Correct Craft said they'd be more.

Any other companies I might consider?

    Thanks!

      RE: SV 211 Replacement Carpet

My carpets will be getting replaced this winter, I will likely get them from here: http://www.corinthianmarine.com/carpet/custom.php

Currently I have repaired 3 snaps and now only remove them by prying the snaps off with a small screwdriver. If I just pull the carpet the snap stays snapped and pulls right through the carpet. Seems that 4 years is all we are getting out of the factory snap in carpeting. Weird considering my 8 year glue in carpet still looked like new when I sold my last boat. Although my 211 carpet has had a bit more abuse then the previous boat.

      Group buy???

Definitely up for group buy. Corinthiane has the stock carpet on a better mat for no more than 445. May be lower but they dont have the gun metal stock in my boat. they are also okay with group discounts. waiting to hear back from cc and going to make sure other company's carpet is the gun metal cut style that's in my boat.

This may sound like a dumb question. but do the snaps come already attached to the carpet replacements? I have just bought a 2004 sv211 and I have the same issues of the backing crumbling and snap pulled though the carpet in a corner. I was planning on replacing the carpet later in the season.

            Replacement carpet for SV211

We can provide a replacement mat far superior to the OEM's mat with our exclusive vinyl-ribbed Aqualoc backing for $ 375. The Aqualoc backing will not deteriorate and break down over time like the black carbon rubber compound backing will. The carpet we use is the same used on all the new OEM Correct Crafts. Anyone interested, check out www.corinthianmarine.com for contact info or just private message me.

madboater2 -- Not a dumb question at all--We can send the carpet with or without the snaps installed. We have all patterns on file with proper snap placement noted.

              RE: Replacement carpet for SV211

I was checking out your website, and I was unsure about the carpet grade and type for the quoted price that matches the OEM.

Aquamat or marine carpet? Basic, std, delux, or premium?

Also, if a person wanted to improve the carpet quality, what would you suggest for the boating application? And how do you color match -- my color is grey -- is there a number on the tag you need?

Is the $375 for all 6(?) pieces on the 211?

The $375 price includes all 6 pieces of carpet in a 40 oz 'singles' Premium product for a custom Aquamat. If you wanted to improve the carpet quality, you would want to go with our Premium Cut 40 oz twisted 'heat set'. This particular style will be more plush and not flatten as easy and is more like a home carpet. This style would be more in the $400-$425 range. The 40 oz singles pile in 'Gun Metal' color is the same carpet face you have in your boat now and is still a great product.

I carry other shades of grey in the heat set 40 oz premium, just unfortunately not 'Gun Metal'.

Your primary advantage here with ALL of our carpets is the upgraded Vinly ribbed backing and not the inferior black rubber compound.

                    Warranty claim

I'm not sure what the paremeters of Correct Craft's warranty are, but on our aftermarket Aquamats we provide a 3 year warranty. We have never had a warranty claim on our Aquamats for the backing disintegrating.

                      RE: Warranty claim

Understood, but I thought that CC had a 5 year no BS warrenty. As such I would expect them to replace the carpets within the 5 year period. Am I wrong?

You'd have to contact CC on that, I have no idea. I'd assume if they did replace it, it would be with the same stuff you have now. I doubt they'd replace it with an aftermarket piece. But again, I have no idea--just my guess. But, hey, who knows...might be worth asking CC...?

They have replaced snaps under warranty, no problem. I have had no actual carpet related issues.

I also have a 05 SV-211. I'm going to check with Orlando Nautiques. I need my carpet replaced also. I hope they replace the carpet.

I would be surprised if the carpet falls under the 5 year warranty.
