What are 230s going for in your area?

For those still sitting at dealerships?

I'm looking at selling my 02 and picking up a new one, but I want to get a feel for the national market. I have no trouble traveling or paying a hauler to pick up a boat if the deal is worth it.

Quite frankly, our local dealer isnt the best so I have no loyalty.

A dealer cannot sell a new boat out of territory, so unless you don't live in a dealer's territory, you might be stuck. Of course, that only applies to NEW boats.

Right on selling NEW boats out of dealer territory, but can dealers sell to anyone after the new model year is brough out? Like any dealer can sell a 2008 to anyone wherever they live.

as i understand it this is not true. CC discourages the practice w/ a split or transfer of profits to the dealer whom services the buyers area code.

as always, i could be wrong, which i often am.

I live in Las Vegas and want to buy a new 2010 Nautique when they come out. I went to 3 different dealerships. They all told me the same thing. I can purchase the boat from them. They need to drive it to Vegas. Then we need a notary to to stamp the papers. I them need to take that paper to my DMV and register the trailer and the boat.

Unfortunately a dealer has been selling in my buddies territory for years. It kinda stinks when a 15-17 boat a year dealer gets under cut by a 60-65 boat a year dealer. Correct Craft is dragging their feet to make him stop. When you are a big dealer like that you have some pull right or wrong.

PLEASE use your local dealers. They need to stay in business to offer you service and parts too.....

local bay area dealer has a left over brand new '08 team edition for $67.9k if that helps at all...

I would imagine they could do a swap so you could still buy local but get the boat you want (at least they do with cars). Unless you have a problem with the local dealer, I'd buy from them. One of CC's biggest assets is it's dealers. You'll need to service it eventually.

Your dealer can trade or buy that boat from that dealer. My buddy just did that with a 230 that had the new FCT3 on it. It happens all the time. They ultimately will both make a little profit off the boat. That way your local dealer can stay in business and the other dealer gets a little money for his time. Its a win win situation doing it that way. The other way some one loses and eventually its both you and your local dealer.
