I have had my boat on here listed for sale for a while. I also have it on wakeworld. I finally decided to try and pay someone to list it. I put it on ABL.com boats about a month ago as the guy told me he had prospects. I payed what I believe to be far too much for the add. There was a money back guarantee. And I believe I am about to use it. I also have the boat on only inboards. Have any of you ever used abl brfore? After I get my charged overturned on the credit card where do you guys recommend I list it?

RE: used boat listings
Dave - I feel for you bro. I have wished for a long time now that I had the funds to take that ride off your hands - not to mention every time you lower the price more and more. I dont think you are doing anything wrong, just a circumstance of the market. I think that people who are looking into used boats are looking a few years older - I dont want to get into the financing of boats and people's buying habits because everyone of us has a different perspective, but I am honestly surprised you still have it.
I hate to say it but the sure fire way to get it done is to list is on Ebay - depends on how bad you want/have to move it (after a year it looks like you unfortunately are getting to that point)
Best of Luck to you -

RE: used boat listings
I found mine on ebay. It was from a CC dealer, though.
I also searched regularly on BoatTrader.com using their search tool and unlimited miles away. It was VERY HANDY for checking price ranges. I looked at a few other sites but not many. I didn't look at this site for boats for sale...I wasn't on the group yet. I also "shelled out" of boattrader straight to dealer sites to look at their other inventory.
My next boat will probably come off this site. Only problem with this site is first timers might not know of it.

RE: used boat listings
I bought my BFN off the now defunct Nautiqefan.com, and bought my Pythonboat off Boattrader. A friend got his SV211 off Onlyinboards. It just takes the right people looking at the right place, and the right time.
I, too, cannot believe you still have that boat Dave. Best of luck to you.the WakeSlayer

RE: used boat listings
I listed on craigslist, only inboards, CCF, ski it again, this site, paid for an ad on Boat Trader, and had it on consignment at my dealer. The day I winterized it last year, I got the call from the guy who ended up buying it. Sold it in October after I had given up hope of selling it that year. He was from Craigslist. I bought my new one from only inboards. On Craigslist I always tried to keep my listing on the 1st page, so once the add fell to the 2nd page I would pull it and relist. I also had it on the 3 Craigslist sites closest to me. I don't think I got any calls from Boat Trader, but my boat only sold for $16k so you might have different results. Try to keep things fresh. You need to find the right buyer at the right time, but for that person to find you, you need to be everywhere you can.19 SANTE 210

RE: used boat listings
I tried the trader, inboards only, recycler, craigs, and even my dealer that I bought the 210 from had it listed. Since it was headed for winter time I figured I would try again in the spring but thought I would give Ebay a shot just for the heck of it. Sold for the buy it now price, a day before the action was to end.2008 SAN 210 TE

RE: used boat listings
Ebay got me more traffic than anywhere on my last boat. Guy who bought it was a member of one of the other boat forums (it was a MC, so it was listed over there). Depending on location, www.dallasboats4sale.com is good ($40 IIRC). Found my current boat there (and on ebay).1998 Ski Nautique (Red/Silver Cloud), GT-40, Perfect Pass Stargazer 8.0z (Zbox), Acme #422, Tunable Rudder.
