00 Air Pre-plumbed for hot water shower?

I was looking for some quick projects to do on the boat, and one I have considered is a hot water shower, but I don't really fell like making additional cuts into the existing lines if possible.

But, last night while fiddling around with the boat I noticed about a 1/2" or 3/4" black hose (3-4 ft long) that was terminated with a bras style plug and ring near the back starbord sizide of the direct drive engine. I tried to race it back to the source, but didn't ahve the time and space, but it looked like it wrapped around to the front center area of the engine (Chevy Apex)....So I am wondering are some of these boats provided with a pre-plumbed hot water line, and if so, could thise be it??????

Sounds like the oil drain hose to me.

Exactly what I was thinking as well. Obviously it originates at the oil pan and the end of ours is clipped over beside the water pump, but weaved through the engine a bit to where it doesn't flop around.

It is the oil drain hose. You can put a shower in super easy if you want to. I wouldn't worry about cutting the lines, it would take you two minutes to do that part. You need a 12v water pump from home depot, and run it off a dash switch.
I actually just removed mine this spring and sold it cheap. I never used the shower once in 4 years.

Thanks. I thought that would be too easy. Good to locate the oil drain though!

WakeSlayer, I probably won't put much effort into installing a shower in for that exact reaon. I will likely never use it, but if it was there already, I may have done something with it just to have something to do.

I have yet to use the shower on my 99 NSS (in the two summers that I have owned the boat). I don't even carry the shower head in the boat! I might have to see if it works someday, but hear in Austin, TX no real need to have a shower. I first thought the boat was purchased up north since the boat also had a heater. Shortly after buying the boat, I tracked down the original owner (from Dallas area) and he said he just ordered the boat with ALL available options from the factory.

I owned a 96 Sport for 9 years, didn't use the shower after year 3. My SANTE doesn't have one. IMO don't waste your time, now a heater- that's a whole different story.

I think all of them should have a heater. Keeps the girls much happier than without. I even put a heater in the Mustang. Must have feature, if you ask me.
