Anyone in the Charlotte area know 'bout Scott Byerly's visit

Just curious if anyone in the Charlotte area knew or got to see Scott Byerly ride w/the HQ marine guys (CC dealer LKN, Lake Wylie, Mountain Island)? Did he make it? Anyone here get info on this before hand?

RE: Anyone in the Charlotte area know

    Jack,

I was down there last week not sure what day and just stopped in and he was there. I had no idea about it. It was raining that day so they where all in the showroom hanging out. What a cool guy. I got home that night and my son was bummed he missed him.

Not to be too critical of the "new" dealer in Charlotte, HQ Marine, but from the lack of posts here, not too many of the Charlotte area people heard about CC's "icon" rider coming to promote their brand in a decent sized market. I think that while getting the word out to people who own CC's might be difficult, CC's marketing people have access to this site, and yet, no PR regarding this visit. I would venture to guess from Todd's post that Scott's visit was a bust. I was in town, and would have enjoyed meeting Scott, but I guess I didn't look in the right places??

How could we use this site to make sure that local events get promoted?

I'm a member on the Mastercraft site, just so I can keep up with what is going on in our larger towsports market, and I'm struck by their dealer in our market. He hosts a HUGE party in early May in which members on that site talk about YEAR 'round! I think they start promoting that event roughly when they get home from THIS year's event. They have members who tow from as far as Mass., Ohio, TN, FL, etc...He achieves this level of participation by being VERY active on their forums, and NO he is not a "yes" man, he gives HONEST opinions on MC's and options, features, where MC has made mistakes, offers technical advice, etc...Does anyone know who in here are dealers? I'm pretty sure we have some, but they keep a pretty low profile here, maybe a request from CC? (N3 excepted).

From what I see on our small lake in Charlotte, we have a few loyal CC owners, but Malibu is kicking CC's a$$ (at least on MIL), maybe we could help develop a little more community here in Charlotte? I know a few of you on our lake, any ideas folks?

I wasn't there, but buddy of mine said they took out a 50ft Cruiser and surfed behind it...it was raining and I didn't feel like going down not knowing if they were riding or not...he'll be back, they are always coming through here
