New skins taking way too long!!!

Was curious if anyone else had placed an order for new skins from CC? I placed an order for all new skins for my 01' SAN in mid to late May and still havent seen them yet. I ordered them from Bruce when it was still CCE in hopes that they would arrive before they "shut down". Last word Bruce got from Orlando was 3rd week of August but that has now come and gone. He said he cant get any solid anwsers from them on when they are gonna be done. I think that 14 weeks is more than enough time to make what I have asked for. Bruce also mentioned that there was an order for a doghouse skin for a Ski Nautique that was a week older than mine. That is just an UNREASONABLE amount of time. I dont know what is going on in Orlando but this is the second time I have had trouble getting my order in a reasonable amount of time. Anyone else have any trouble?? Sorry for the rant.

I do not believe any of the boat manufacturers warehouse a piece like that over 5 model years old. And more than likely, CC's skins vendor has minimum order requirements. So they probably have to wait until there are multiple orders before they can send an order to their vendor who does the interior pieces. Or they may be waiting on the correct vinyl. Since it's not current, no one may have it in stock. We recently had a similar issue on a friend's 05 Malibu LXI. Needed a new Malibu decal for the rear side. It's been 4 months now. They said it could be a year before they have any.

It took me about 12 months for my order to be completed by MWCC. I would have liked it to go a little quicker, but Bruce was a pleasure to deal with and did whatever necessary to make sure I did get what I ordered.

I know you want your skins, but be patient and it will happen. I'm amazed that I was able to get factory skins for a 12 year old boat that are almost excatly like the originals. I think you will be pleased when you do finally get your order.

At least it's just vinyl and doesn't keep you off the water.
