I have a 2007 SV211. It has about 100 hours on it. I pulled out the seat that sits over the cooler (behind the driver) and it has a cut and the seam is about to fail. When I lined up the cut it is where the metal bracket for the seat across the back hits the seat. The edge of the bracket is very sharp. In fact it was sharp enough to cut a second seat when I had it out one day. I have not brought it up with my dealer so I am not sure what they will say. Should this be covered?

RE: Would you turn this in as a warranty claim?
The rear storage (starboard) cover on my 2007 211had a 1/2 slit coming from the little silver ring used to open and close the hatch, cover, whatever. I brought this to the attention of my dealer, Sail and Ski San Antonio!!!, and they had a complete new skin for it made and installed under warranty. It was obvious the slit was not caused by a ski fin or something of that nature. I would talk to the dealer.

2nd bringing it up to the dealer. Don't know if it won't happen again, but at least they should fix it. hopefully they will smooth over the sharp edge in the process.

Definitely take it up with the dealer as a warranty claim. I had a similar issue with the port side forward-most seat (big one that flips-up) on my '05 211. The fiberglass had over time cut through the vinyl. Correct Craft approved the warranty work and the skin was replaced. They also adjusted the seat positioning to prevent a recurrence.
