2go...i agree but i am not competing and very few people are in all reality but if you are then this boat wouldnt be considered i am sure. Those people buy a 196 or a 200. I have not skied at 22 or 28 off yet so i dont know personally what its like but at 15 off at 32mph there are no issues in my opinion and i came from a boat with a very small wake. My first impressions were not holy crap what did i get myself into when i first skied behind the boat. I was very happy.

Have you skied behind a 216? Since you sold your boat what are you going to get?

thanks again everyone who has responded. The various opinions paint a clear picture based on where each persons priorities clearly are.

I know at the end of the day It's like asking what performs better a sports car, 2 dr coup, or high performance sedan. All do different thing's better/worse

I was really interested in the improvements to the hulls over the years. (sounds like it's close)

A little more disclosure from me; The friend who stated this is the dealer in my area... I really wanted to get a (financially) unbiased opinion...

      all responses have been useful

You're welcome. Like I said, your best bet is to find one and ski behind it and then make your decision because all of us are biased in one way or the other.....not just financially, but also based on our first sport of choice. I've said it before. I like big boobs on skinny girls. Some guys don't. Personally, I don't understand that! lol.

The best piece of advise is buried in here. You need to demo each boat, and find out for yourself.
I am on a Show team. I prefer "athletic" women.
There are three ways to get big breasts. Get fat, get pregnant, or get implants. None of the three options makes it easer to ski with the girl.
I would much rather have a woman who skis, wakeboards, or other towed sports, than a Reef sandal model who just sits there and takes up space.

Give me the Reef Sandal model with a big set of falsies and I'll teach her to drive. The best of both worlds!

I agree...go for the test ride and ski behind it. I took a risk and didnt do this before i bought but i did alot of research prior and even talking to people on this site was very helpful. I have no regrets at all.

Good for him but that is merely his opinion. The fact is a 97 SN skis better than any 216. If it's good enough for him that is what matters.

Does she have a sister? I don't even need her to drive!
