    Aluminum Trailer?

Thinking about switching to the new Nautique 200, but one of my "MUSTS" is a aluminum trailer. I _hate_ those Ram-Lin trailers and want to avoid paint. Anyone got an alu trailer?

    Had one

I had one as a replacement to a tube trailer. It was nice once it was configured properly. Make sure the builder fits the boat or you'll be back doing it anyway. It was about 2/3 the cost of a tube too.

I currently have a painted channel, and it is also a good alternative. You might shop both.

I have one for my 2000 SSN. It was actually cheaper than any steel mfg trailer in the area. Someone put a large deposit down to have the trailer built for a 2001 SAN, but never picked it up...good for me I guess!

Aluminum is great but remember a lot of the parts are still galvanized steel and need to be maintained.

Galv really requires little maintenance. I have a galv boat railway and it needs zero care. I am really after the lightness and non-rust anyway, hence the alu trailer.
