I was just wondering when Nautique will come out with something bigger than the 230? Is there anyone that will want one? What will they call it (246-250)?

Interesting.
It's plausible. But I do think that the 23/24ft range is a sweet spot though for most people. That's the size we've kind of all collectively decided was garage-compatible. Going much bigger is going to rule a lot of people out. But I do think they could expand. God - a bigger SAN wake would practically be the Lobster Boat wake I've been dreaming about. Who knows. They play with all kinds of ideas.

No. They're not hugely popular like boats such as the 210, and X2 (bleeeuuch) are. I've talked to someone at Malibu (a dealer - not really at Malibu) few times about a 247 he's been sitting on for 3 years and drags to every boat show in the Northeast. He's convinced that us Easterners just don't want big boats.
I love the 247 so I always go over and chat him. up. While we're talking, it's so funny, he just looks at the thing like.... you piece of s**t. SELL!

Have you ever pulled a 230? It's like moving a mobile home. I couldn't imagine owning a bigger boat. I towed XTP's old 24ssv around one weekend with my tahoe and it about killed2012 Axis A22 - on order

There's a reason why you can stil get NOS (new, old stock) 25' Malibus even though they have been out of production for years. Although the profit margin is higher for the mfgs. NO ONE buys the darn things!

Once the 247 came out the 25LSV was a thing of the past. They have a different interior and hull. They both had the same people rating and close in fuel. The 25 was 4600lb and the 247 is 4000. The 25LSV was going after the I/O market. The 247 is more of a tow/wakeboard boat. When Nautique came out with the 230, the 236 is going away. I would like to see a bigger wakeboard boat.

I wouldn't mind one. It would be like a party barge wakeboard boat no I think a 230 is plenty unless it was for the bay or ocean. Anybody know the difference on how much more a 230 burns in fuel compared to a 210 on average?2006 210 SAN! TE

Fuel usage is not that different. A friend of my has a 210 with 343hp engine and is close to 5gph. Our 230 with 390hp is a little over 5gph. I think with the 30% bigger tank in the 230 it will pull longer on a full tank then the 210. Fuel difference is within 10-15% in my believe (with the bigger engine!).230 with ZR6 running on propane
