    "World Champion Ski Boat"

What does "World Champion Ski Boat" actually mean? This is on my model year 2001 SN. Do other years/models also have similar phrases like "World Record Ski Boat" or ".......... Tow Boat"

I'd like to understand the meaning of all of these terms.

Maybe that model was used at some world competition so they labeled all of them with that sticker. Many of the towboat companies did that for a lot of years. Some of them still do it.

It's just marketing. Nautiques pull the Worlds. Just like Malibu boats used to say "US Open Towboat" on the stern.

Jaret Llewellyn has broken a few World Records for jump ... probably every year for the past few. I would assume he was pulled by a CC 196 or 206 for his jump records.

That might give them the right to tag the stern with promo biz.
