Figured I would ask and get other peoples feelings on the situation.

That's interesting. Not being able to get a tag due to circumstances beyond the dealers control is aggravating but 170 to 220 additional hours above what was represented on the boat does not? You must have gotten a very good deal.

As far as AIRHUCK goes, the problem is not the boat title. It is the trailer tag I am trying to get. And I was not going to mention any names so that it would not cause any hard feelings. But thanks for throwing names out though. And as far as there service has been helpful to you. I can not seem to get anyone to answer my emails or return a call. I have to keep calling until I can get him to answer the phone.

It is possible that the PP is wrong. If the boat is not running and the key (or keypad) is is left on, perfectpass is "on" and will continue to count hours even though the engine is not running. The hour meter is smart enough to know that the engine is not running and no hours should accumulate. (This is a huge improvement over the old hour meters when the drivers would fuel the boat with the key on to see the fuel guage and then leave the key on overnight by accident, adding a TON of hours to your boat.) I have also noticed on some of my earlier boats with PerfectPass that the PP counted hours at a little higher rate than the hour meter. I kept track of start and stop times at a couple of tournaments and the hour meter seemed to be the most accurate, but we are only talking about a variance of around 10%. As stated earlier in the thread the GM engines keep the hours in the ECM and that can be matched with the hour meter. The Fords only have the hour meter to rely on.
