    2010 230 question

hi, im going tomorow to my local dealer, i need to know whats the biggest motor now in the 230 ? a 409hp or 390hp ?? Also i heard they will make a new motor for boat produced after december 15th is it true and if yes what is the change, does it worth to have that new one ? Any new options comming for boats build after that period ?

I just dont want to order a boat that can have much on it when i will take it next year ...( because here we dont do boat from mid october till june )

    RE: 2010 230 question

should be the 409 in the ZR6. No idea on the newest upgrade. If it is still a zr6 it was just a ecm change in the past to up the power. That said if you order the boat and it comes as a 409 (which is plenty of power) you could change to the new ecm later if you had to have it. I have the zr6 with 375 horse from 07 and my buddies 409 doesn't really feel any differnt when driving.

The 2010 line up has the 409hp coastal edition or not all the same...

Havent heard anything about new engine, wont it be odd to introduce in the mid model year?

I would GUESS that any "new" model would have O2 sensors and catalytic converters. Doesn't a law for these features go into effect soon?

You might care if you want more horsepower, better fuel economy, better control from the TBW cruise, and no toxic exhaust for surfing.

so i went to day motor i saw for the ZR option is those :

1 normal with 409hp WITH catalyser option that reduced 94% of gaz emission
and the one without the catalyser 2000$ option also how that can reduced the horsepower ? in the past we were drilling hole in catalyser to gain performance hahaha but yeah it was in the past

Would the reduced gas emission from catalytic converter desribed above eliminate the need for FAE?

If so, which device would be preferred?

I would go with no. A car has a catilitic converter and in many cases multiple ones, but in the end still produces carbon monoxide.
