    measurements

How hard is it to take the platform off on a SAN 210?
Can anyone give me an exact measurement of a SAN 210 from bow to stern with the trailer tongue swung in and the platform taken off?
    Thanks

Pull the two pins and lift it right off. Might be easier with a helper.

I will measure it for you tomarrow. The platform is very heavy[ it is a Nautique] as airTool said it would be best to have two to lift it.

depends on what year 210. I have an 04 and I have found a technique where I can easily take it off by myself. I know the newer ones are very heavy so this would not apply to those

I don't have to remove mine....but you might also consider building a rack or dedicated "spot" to store it to keep it from getting damaged when not on the boat.

I'd love to know your technique. I have a heavy one and have to remove it to store the boat. I can remove it by myself, but it's not fun, easy, or recommended. I get help whenever possible.

FYI: It's not a 210, but my 211 will not fit in a 21' garage even with the tongue folded and platform off. I cheat because I have double doors to a shop and put the boat in nose first. It's tight but it's in! I'd say 22'5" minimum to just use the garage.

On my 2008 210 the length from the front of the trailer with the tongue folded to the swim platform center bracket is 21' 10". I have a Boatmate tandem axle trailer. The swim platform is 27" . You will need a 24' 3" garage depth with the platform on .That's with 1" clearance front and back. Without the platform it should just fit in a 22' garage. Good Luck.

skitower my old way was to sit under the the deck and push straight up with both hands but I hated doing that because it was so awkward when it came out. So now I put both hands in the holes where the lifting rings are. Squat down and put push in to the deck with your chest, just below your sternum. pull with your hands and push towards the boat with your chest. Then all you do is slowly and evenly stand up. It takes some practice. I have gotten pretty good at it. Also it helps to keep the brackets lubed.

my biggest roadblock is I don't have anywhere to grab. I bend underneath and push up with the back of my shoulder, while balancing with my arms. Don't like it but sometimes I have no choice (but to leave it out).

I'm trying to figure out a contraption to lift it up and off, but hoping to get a better garage before that happens.
