Recently had a chance to spend 4 days skiing behind my two favorite boats. Just thought I'd post some comparison comments / pics of the '04 CC 196 wake and the '94 MC 190 wake....both at 34MPH. Here are a few observations:
1) CC is wider but softer at all line lenghts; MC is narrower but firmer at all line lengths except 35-off and shorter. The MC guys hate the "double little bump" behind the CC. The CC guys hate the "single dip" at 32 and shorter behind the MC.
2) MC is particularly hard at 22/34.
3) Much more spray behind the MC
4) CC handled better; MC was solid and locked in though.
5) Noticed a bit more vibration on the CC ... this is probably prop or shaft related on CC
6) CC pulled 4 200+ slalomers up; MC (not powerslot) -- didn't even try....!
Also....in the pics, the MC was loaded down heavy (5 guys, 5 skis and gear), the CC was light with 2 in the boat and one behind....not a very good apples to apples, but the only pics I had.
