In 1993 we introduced composite stringers but the floor still had wood in it. It wouldn't be 1995 before the last of the wood was eliminated.

My 93 SN (since sold) was totalled due to a major accident. I had to remove a large portion of the floor and nowhere did I find wood of any kind. None, nada.

the soft floor is probably just the fiberglass separating from the foam in the floor (saw a thread on here about a repair someone did), my 97 is doing this in a couple of spots.

92 was the last year for wood. Unless you can show me a splintter in you foot or hand I can't buy the wood story. Plus I have seen a totaled (car wreck) 93 ski Nautique and did not see any wood. The boat was in half.

Maybe it was just seat cushion bottoms or something simple.

My 93 Excel has wood backing plates on the trim panels along the gunnels, and the panels under the dash. I was a little disappointed to find wood at all, but it is easily replaceable where it is. My guess would be it was used for it's ability to hold screws. Nothing else looks, sounds or acts like wood, but I'm not drilling a hole to find out for sure.

I just sold my 93 and the only wood I found was the kick plate for the driver.

but why do u think correct craft told me there was tryin to get me to buy a new boat i dont know thanks for the pictures that was great i guess ill find out when i go to fix it
