Anyone know if CC will add (at a charge obviously) an extra gel coat stripe to their 2010s? MC and M offer it. BTW, I'm not talking custom gel color, just an extra stripe in a stock color.

RE: Adding an Extra Stripe?
Anything can be done, given enough money. Talk to your dealer. I am pretty sure, the phrase "I can go and order a Malibu with this extra gelcoat stripe" might help you get what you want.
You will have to wait for your boat, and it may cost extra. Factory workers get good and fast at doing the same thing over and over. It will take extra time to do a custom job, and you probably will get charged for it. You will also lose any chance of getting a discounted priced boat that has sat in dealers inventory a little too long.

RE: Adding an Extra Stripe?
I'm not saying you shouldn't get the boat of your dreams, but I don't think the phrase "Bu" or "MC" will do it is going to get you anywhere. At the end of the day neither of those boats are a Nautique.
I might ask and see the cost. I'm guessing they will make the cost so high you won't want to do it. If you do get it, let us see the pictures.
Another suggestion might be to order the boat without the extra stripe and take to to a sign person and have the other stripe done in vinyl stickers. I was going to change the color of my top stripe this year, but never got around to it.
CC will ship your boat without the graphic on if that will help.

Gawd, vinyl stickers? And here I was so impressed that CC seems to have finally dumped the tape pin striping. No thanks. I can't see it costing more than 500-100 bucks to add a stripe. Feed the cat another canary I say!

Well lots of CC people read this message, so they know you are at least willing to go to 1000.00 per the above. I still say more. PM me if you find out if they will do it. I'm thinking about getting a 200, so maybe I would customize it if the price was reasonable.

Cute.EXCEPT at the Worlds in Calgary Canada in August they had one of the official towboats with red maple leafs on the sides.
IIRC, there was once a Canadian edition of the MC Stars & Stripes that was maple leafs.

love your 216...... out of my league for 2-3 yrs of mental saving ( i'm pretty set on a 216 from your advice). Are you selling or adding the teak deck to the 216? keep the teak if you have it! what happens to the 210 if you get the 200?It\'s Good to be Here

Praire,
Not sure why I'm killing you!?
I have the teak on the boat and love it. I wish they were all teak still. I do have the fiberglass one in storage. The wife likes the 210, so that decision is made. As for the 200, I'm still researching them. I like to foot and based on the some of the other post about speed we might need to go to a plan B.
With the 200 coming out, there are going to be a lot of 02 or newer 196s out there at good prices. Lots of things to think about.
My 216 is flawless. I love the look of that boat. It is going to make someone a great boat.
