1995-2006 old SuperSport/210 is the original hull
2007-2010 new 210 hulls are the same but the deck changed from 07 to 08
the rest an owner of a new 210 will have to answer

How are you weighting it? Do you have to sack it out to get a really good wake? Factory wake is nice....sacked out is insane. I have friends with Supras, BUs and MCs and they all want to ride behind my boat.

- I've heard the newer wake is a bit more mellow compared to the original hull. Is the newer wake more like the X-1? Or is it still steep? can't comment, but it's better than my friends 07 X30

- If you do add extra weight, is the 343 engine enough? Or would you recommend the ZR-6? I currently have the ZR-6 in my MB, but I'm also carrying almost 3K of ballast. I run an extra 2100lbs and the 343 is plenty of engine. It's takes a second longer to plane, but eats less gas and costs alot less from the factory. I wouldn't order one that way.I get better gas mieage than everyone I know.

- How is the wake unweighted at slow speeds? I have 2 younger daughters (12 & 9) who ride, but when I go slow w/ my MB, the wake washes out. depends on what speeds your talking about....under 17 mph it will wash out, but will with every boat.

- Is there any real difference between the '08 and '09 (and even 2010)? the only differences are the newer tower in '09, the sounds system change in '09(just the newer version of the polk audios) and the dash changed every year.

I highly reccomend the 210. It's a great boat. I've loved every minute of mine!

One follow up question:

For the 2100 lbs, how are you configuring it? 60/40? 50/50? Also, the website says standard ballast is 940lbs. Is that really all you can get? Or are there extra options (i.e. MasterCraft's PWT Edition). I have 400lbs of pop bags, but the remainder of ballast (2500 lbs) is stock in the MB, so it goes w/ it when I sell it.

For my youngest daughter, we run her a tad over 17, probably around 17.5. My oldest daughter is ~ 19. Its hard to tell exact numbers as my boat reads somewhat slow (i.e. I ride ~ 21, which is closer to 23 on my friend's X-Star).

No extra is offered......the additional 2100 is fatsacs. I run one 280lber ontop of each rear tank and then put the 760 on the floor in the middle and the 780 on top of the front seats. No extra riders just me and the rider. With more people I use less fatsacs.

You cant get the upgraded ballast through CC, but you can order from any Fly High dealer - they have a 4 sac system for an extra 1600lbs that works on the 210

These are taken from my 08 210 and a friends 08 210. The first pic is my boat with about 2500lbs riding at 75ft. The next two are a little over 3000lbs and 80ft.

Kevfran pretty much nailed it on all your other questions. The 6.0 liter is a great engine but a waste of money, spend the extra cash on a Wetsounds speaker upgrade and rock out.

That first pics looks sweet. Actually, it looks a bit like my B52 V23 wake (if you've ever been to wakeworld, you've seen this pic):

Time to setup a ride w/ the local (and I use that term loosely) Nautique dealer before it gets too cold. I think I can scrounge up an extra 1K in ballast for a test ride, and maybe a few peeps to fill out the boat.

I'll try to get a few pics & let you know what I come up with.

In my 210 I am running about 250-300 on top of the rear tanks, about 250 lbs in lead in the middle and another 400-500 sac on top of the front seats. I usually have 3-5 people in the boat so in all its around 2000-2500 on top of stock ballast and I love it. I ride at 75-80 feet 23-24 mph. I have several pics but none really showing the wake too great.

My girlfriend is just learning and rides about 18-20. the wake is a little washy, but the shortest my rope goes is 70. The hydrogate helps a little with that.

I would say the 343 is plenty for power and dont think you would really need more.

I have been behind many boats and each wake is a little different, never been behind a MB but the Nautiques and the newer Malibu's with the power wedge are tops on my list.

250 on top of the rear tanks and 300 in the bow usually with 3 people at 23mph and 70-75ft rope depending how my body feels that day. More people and I leave out some ballast. Realistically most of the time I run with just the factory tanks and the same amount of people on a 70ft rope. You don't need a ton of weight to get a nice wake. '07 210TE

hey, supersquirt, not sure if you know how the wake in the 1st pic was weighted? we have recently got a new 210
Having some trouble with weighting it right, I'm finding it very mellow, if too much weight is in the back it will porpoise
easily, an too much in the front an it's the mellow style wake, just curious of some other's weighting setups, would ultimately
like a bit more lip/steeper, have not had too many experiences with this boat... Any help appreciated, thanks.

In the first pic, i had my factory tanks full with an additional 400 on top of each hard tank in the rear lockers. I had a tube sac filled in the ski locker which is around 250-300, and I had 8 people on the boat with one riding (3 people in the bow). Riding at 23.5 with the plate down.

The key for big steep wakes is adding just barely enough weight up front to stop the porpoising, and use the plate.

yeah very interesting... so where do you have the plate positioned in the ramp position??? i.e forward? is the weight you need in the front dependant on how much you have in the back or not?

Pull the lever back towards the back of the boat once you get planed off and the speed set, it will help make the wake steeper

yeah thats what ive been doing, so with 2x250kgs in the rear lockers an a 250kg in the walkway with a 250kg in the bow and it still seems mellow. should there be less in the front? just enough to stop from porpising?
