    200 trailer options

    1 - Will a single-axle trailer feel undersized?

2 - Are there any other trailer options besides Ram-lin?

It is official that you cannot put the 200 on a 196 trailer.

    RE: 200 trailer options

Heritage (who recently purchased Prestige) now has a trailer for the 200. Very similar design to the Prestige with considerably different bunk configuration to work with the new hull. In my opinion a single axle should still be fine, but of course everyone has an opinion.

      RE: 200 trailer options

My 206 is at the max for a single axle but it pulls and backs like a dream. There are advantages and disadvantages to single and tandem. Unless I pulled the boat 100 miles each way every weekend, I would probably just stick with the single axle. I would, though, prefer disc brakes to drum if I had a choice. I would also prefer bunks to wishbone....even if I couldn't see over the boat when I backed it up.

I believe that DHM and Eagle also have bunk configurations for 200's now. I sure do like the Prestige that came with my 196, so if Heritage kept that design then it's a **** good trailer.

Whitelake's 200 is on a single axle Phoenix trailer. Only issue I saw with it is prop guard rollers aren't available.

Bunks - looking for one without the boat on it.

Here is one better...I like that "edit" feature.

                (not a better trailer....but a better picture)

I'm not a big fan of the wishbone design either. Give me bunks. It'll be interesting to see the final trailer designs for the 200, due to it's step hull

I'm sure Dorsey will have one ready to go soon. Their trailers are absolute tanks..

David at Whitelake explained to me that wishbones work good for DD's but not for V-drives. V's tend to rock. I think I'd love one if I had a DD.

I have had 2 different SN's now. One with the Ramlin wishbone and the other with an Eagle bunk trailer. I like the bunks much better. It seems like you need just the perfect ramp to get the boat on the Ramlin. Whereas the bunks aren't quite as finicky. Anybody else have that experience?

Boatmate Trailers just built a pimp trailer for a 200 at my local dealer. Call Owen over at www.boatmatetrailers.com. He'll hook you up. Best trailer on the market. They can get you any wheels you want too.

I've never had an issue with a wishbone trailer. I enjoy the simplicity, and the fact I can reach over and get stuff out of the boat while standing on the ground. All those bunks seem like overkill, but I suppose that could be considered a good thing. Of all the bunk trailers, Prestige and Boatmate look nice.

Definitely. I'll take bunks any time over the wishbone. My friend's boats with bunks are so much easier to load, as was my previous boat.
