226 "Stowable Observer's Seat"

Has any one been in a new 226 that has this option. Seems it would be cool - i have only own nautiques and never had my passenger riding "shotgun" like that before? Does it come in handy or a waste of storage space? I have a 216v and did not have that option...

I have been in the new 226. The flip-up observer's seat is pretty cool. It does take up some storage space when flipped down, but there is so much space on that boat that it really doesn't matter.

do you see the stowable seat as a benefit to the boat? I feature you would see go to other boats...
Like I think I would like the center "walk path" on the back of the SAN 230....

Hey Nautique Jeff - do you see this flip-up seat being a introduced into other nautiques? In the SAN series or the 216v? I had seen a thread post on here awhile back about nautique looking to make a bigger boat, would this seat be more inline for a bigger "cruising" boat?
