    New to the family

I just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone for the helpful information on this site. That along with a test drive made my decision easy. Our brand new 2009 216v should hit the road from Orlando to Dallas next week and I could not be more excited. This is out third boat and we've unfortunately went the long route to figure out nothing but the best will do.

I'll post some pictures as soon as it gets here so you can see it for the first time about the same time I will. Ordered white hull with midnight blue mid stripe and titanium top stripe. Interior is silver cloud base with titanium stripes and midnight blue piping. I built it on the CC website and I think it will be a great looking boat.

Both my wife and I are very beginner wake boarders but look forward to learning a lot from this site and taking a lot of hard falls.

    Jerry

Better late than never Jerry!!! Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

Congrats to you and the wife. Enjoy it in great health and fun.

Those are the colors on my 196. So great choice.

Welcome aboard. These guys are pretty cool.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I can't believe that I'm going to have to put this boat up for the winter pretty much right after the test ride, talking about a tease. Oh well, will make for a fun spring that's for sure.

This is our first vee-drive boat so I'm sure there will be a decent learning curve on it, other than not being able to stear in reverse any other heads ups that might be different between an I/O and vee-drive?

No trim is a big difference. Also, did you winterize the I/O? You'll be able to get around fine once you get the hang of it. Just have to play the pull when backing.

Yes, we winterized the I/O but I understand it is a much easier process on the v-drives. We took the I/O to the dealer to get the service done, but am hoping I'll be able to do it myself on this boat.

You have cedarcreek in your user name so I assume you will be keeping the boat on Cedar Creek Lake? If so we have several members here on the same lake. I am not far away from you in Tyler. Can't wait to see photos!!!

Yes, we just bought a house out there so we're looking forward to a lot of good times. I would love to meet up with other memebers once the spring rolls around, I'll need a lot of wake boarding pointers that's for sure.

I'm hoping this boat is everything that people here say it is. I was very concerned with the crossover tag, but after the test drive was convinced we would never grow out of it in regards to size or rideability. I'm hoping it will surf and wake board good enough that we'll never have to switch out of necessity.

And our house and boat are always open, maybe we can have a meet on the lake and some grill grub at the house in the spring, we're always looking for some lake friends.

We definately have to have a get together with all the texas boats somewhere this coming year. I am tired of all the northern guys on correctcraft fan having all the fun. I am having my trailer converted to a tandem so we can start traveling more with the boat next spring and summer.
