Revised Capacity Plate

Has the capacity plate for 07 and 08 210s been revised from 10 to 12 people? If so, how is the new version obtained?

It went from 10 in the 2008 to 12 in the 2009. Your dealer may or may not help you get the 12 plate for your boat, but it seems that most dealers are taking care of their customers.

My dealer has not heard of an update and did not seem to think it was worth checking on. Is there a dealer reading this who could get one for me?

Same thing happened with my Boston Whaler Sport 13. In 02 the max HP was rated for 30, in 03 this was upped to 40 with NO other changes in the boat. I contacted Boston Whaler with regard to getting a new capacity plate and was told that even though it was EXACTLY the same boat, because it was an 02 they, Boston Whaler, could not give me a new plate. I was told that it was a liability issue with Hull ID, year of manufacture and registration with the Coast Guard/Manufacturers Association. Can you say LAWYERS?

Yes it has, I have an 08 210 and contacted my dealer for an updated one. They got me the new capacity plate at no charge. Your dealer should be able to handle it for you. Just have them give CC a call or send them an email.

When I bought my leftover 08 I asked the dealer to install the 12 person capacity plate. It is really nice since I have so many nieces and nephews, and still works out well with space in a 210 since they are not adults.
