Hey guys I have a 2004 210 and I have a question for those of you running 2K or more of ballast. Did you change your PP settings when you started running that much weight or did you leave it on the factory settings? If so what did you change your settings to.

I run that much weight in my '04. I have messed with the PP setings a little, but have never really saw much improvement in performance. What symptoms are you trying to correct?
I saw the biggest improvement in the performance of PP when I changed out my prop. I use the 1464 and the PP holds speed much better while wakeboarding and surfing (weighted or unweighted), as compared to the 536 or 644. If you pay attention to your rpm's while PP is engaged, you can tell how hard it is working to maintain speed. If you see the rpm's spiking up and down (hunting), you most likely need to change your prop. You can adjust your settings a little, however once you get it right when weighted, the pull will be harsh when unweighted. With the right prop, you can back off the settings a bit and cover a wider range of riding conditions (weighted/ unweighted, surfing/ wakeboarding).
Another way to test your prop is to try and maintain speed without PP. If it takes a ton of work to manually hold speed, then you will probably benefit from a new prop.
If you want, I can post my current settings in a couple of days.

Thanks man, I am not trying to correct anything. There have been a few times when It felt like it was searching when the rider was on a hard edge in. But that was when I had several people in the boat, and the boat sacked out. I am going to upgrade my prop during the winter though. If you don't mind, post up your settings when you get a chance. The previous owner of the boat changed them from the factory settings and I just never touched them. I'm not sure if I can get a better pull or not. I am running alot more weight than the previous owner did. So I'm not sure if I need to change it or not.

I played with the settings some and found a good compromise. This was before I replaced the belly ballast pickup with a flush style mount. That was the biggest improvement. Going to the 1464 is definately worth the money. That is the best prop made for running lots of ballast. I'll try and remember to look at my PP settings tonight and let you know what mine are on.Jason
