I know this is off topic and I really hate people who post negative stuff, but I really am not wild about the transom of the 200. It reminds me of a mid 90s runabout. I'm sure it performs like no other though.
"This boat will sell new for well over $50K; you can get it here for well UNDER $50K!"
If you want to purchase this boat new it will be well over 50k. I guess it depends on your definition of "reasonably priced".
You and Ati_Dude make very good points. Well over 50k for a closed bow, especially if its with the Standard Package, is not my definition of reasonably priced.
From what I understand though, one could expect to pay in the mid 40's for an open bow Standard Package 200 promo after one season. If this is accurate, assuming the 200 kinks, if any, have been worked out, depending on the hours and its condition, I would consider paying mid 40's for 1 season old 200.
Ati Dude (or anyone who knows), what's the additional charge for a 200 with an open bow?
There's a $800 difference between the closed and open bow. Mid 40's after one season of use for an SE is still $7k more than an 09 promo was.
For some reason I thought the additional charge for an open bow was much more than $800.00. I must be getting it confused with the motor upgrade. Sounds like mid 40's after one season of use for a closed bow SE equates to about a 20% price increase then. It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out next year with the percentage of 196's to 200's at tourney's and how easy or hard the 200's will be to sell after the ski season.
According to Steve Tyler, the SCR promo manager, the difference is less than $800. At least that's what he told me in September when I was talking to him about possibly buying his 2010.

Even buying this boat at 50K the promo guy will be making a little money...But I'm sure the dealers wont be too impressed with this ad.. :???:
My opinion is to protect the retail market which keeps CC in business the promo people should not be allowed to advertise their boat on the internet before July of next year.
Confused. Are you saying that for the 200 CB you have to purchase the jump seat? I assumed that for the closed bow they extended the observers seat over and a jump seat would not be required.
I guess I should be asking you that question. How so? I have been on the team for 10 years and the best I could muster on a few of those years was even up. I carried a few boats into the second year and lost big time.
Most of the team that I know are in it for the love of the sport and promotion of the sport and Nautiques. The past few years have been really tough on the team and the dealers.
Life long Nautique guy
Will ski anytime.

With the OB you also need the air dam, not sure how much it costs. Local promo guy here told me it came to about $1,600 with the air dam and also a snap-in cover for the front.
