Add '07 YTD to the mix. Even worse.
Support your local dealers with all you can, even if it's cheaper at Academy.
Help them keep the lights on.

And they raise their prices. I feel sorry for dealers. CC raising prices, flooring going up if available at all and money very tight. I am not sure any new CC have been ordered for Northern California. I do not blame dealers at all. If CC does not support their dealers they will not have anyone in this part of the world.

Anybody see this changing in the near future?
If not, who gets bought, who gets sold and do we end up with maybe two or three ski boat/wakeboard manufacturers?

These numbers are not unlike most industry segments in general. Good news is that housing and most industry segments have bottomed and will like to start to grow again, but slowly. I can only imagine that the boating industry will follow but with a 6-12 month lag.
            Peace..

I would be curious to see what the numbers are on "ski boats" only comparing CC, MC & BU. If my area is any indication, I find it hard to believe MC & BU are outselling CC by almost 2 to 1 on 3 event ski boats.

I guess things are not as rosie at Nautique as they say they are  ....It's going to be tough or getting tougher for all parties but MC and BU are carrying a much larger market share (almost double) compared to CC.

Yes, but MC especially is carrying a much larger debt load.

That situation has been resolved. MC is solid now.

Wayzata Investment Partners LLC, provided a cash infusion for MC back in June in exchange for secured debt and became the controlling shareholder. They got sold.

The question is which of the manufacturers are on solid enough financial ground to scale back production and still remain profitable. Same holds for dealers. It could be years and years before the market returns and it may never. Credit is tight, with housing pricing down so is equity, and consumer confidence has seen a real shift away from spending.

What brands are "Skier's Choice" and "Fineline"? I assume these are manufacturers of brands like Centurion, Tige, etc...does anyone know which? I assumed MC, BU, and CC made up the top three in terms of market share but apparently not.

Skiers Choice is Moomba and Supra. Not sure about Fineline, I think it's Centurion.

There is now way CC isn't carrying some huge debt load just like everyone else...

With sales being off 40% or more and production being cut down by 50-60% or more these companies are hurting dispite what they say.

Difference is according to the info CC is being out sold by the top 2 guys by almost 2-1

Tough times are going to continue for everyone in the boat biz
