RE: 93 ski nautique wake compared to a new wakeboard boat
Let's build on that. What's the best way everyone has found to weight an early 90's nautique for boarding.
Fat Seat?
Ballast beside the motor housing?
Bow weights?____________________________________________

I've found I can weight my '94 nautique so that it is comparable with a stock ballast mastercraft x2. I put 2 side sacks (250lbs each) and a 750 in the back, along with about 200lbs of lead.
It is pleanty of weight to do any basic invert, etc. Infact, I learned most of my inverts before I even started weighting the boat.
However, when my buddy puts in an extra couple sacks on top of his stock ballast (about 1700 lbs extra), it takes it up to another level completely. I wouldn't feel safe putting any more weight in mine. with the weight I put in, you have to start being carefull driving or you'll take a bunch of water over the bow when you turn around.. Wait for the wake to pass you before you turn around.
Here is some video (filmed behind both boats - the shots from the tube are definately behind my boat):

I use to put 500 in the bow of my 93 snob and a fat seat in back. It would kick pretty good. Just no room.2008 Super Air 210 Team

I ran 650 in the bow and a full fat seat in my 96 Sport. It was not fun to drive anymore, but the wake was a good size. When I upgraded to my 04 210 (in 2008), I found the size of the wake with the stock ballasts to be similar. The 2004 is less abrupt. Anyone can drive the new boat without fear of taking water over the bow, we have more room, and I'm not any better at wakeboarding.
We can surf now too.19 SANTE 210
