    Skiing behind a 220

I am looking at a 220 but have heard wake is huge for slalom skiing. Intermediate skiier, any one ski behind one before? How does wake compare to 211 or 216V?

    RE: Skiing behind a 220

I have had the 211 and the 220. I love the 220, but not for slalom, or for that matter, the 211 wake is not acceptable for me either on the slalom.

I have a 196 to slalom with, and the 220 is for family entertainment. To give you an idea of my demand for wake, i don't like more than one or 2 people in the 196 while I am on the slalom.

          I went from a 196 to a SAN 220, I think I have both ends of the spectrum covered : )

I do some skiing behind our 220, the wake is fairly big at 31-32mph. I tried a '07 210 before buying the 220, the newer 210 has a decent ski wake for a wakeboard boat. No experience on the 211 or 216V.

I had a 99 Ski Nautique and now have a 220. The wake is ski-able in the sense that the shape is ok, but it is really big. This summer I skied the course with the 220 and could barely make it through 15off@30mph. Behind a ski boat I usually get most of the way through 28 at 34mph. It is a lot of work to hit the wake full speed, it reminds me of the feeling you get when you land in the flats on a pair of snow skis. I still ski almost every time we got out and still have fun doing it.
