HQ Marine Lake Norman, did something change??

I don't know anything other than what I observed this weekend, but the CC "lot" that HQ was using on 150 near Lake Norman is now completely empty of Nautiques, only boat I saw there was a large cruiser (HQ is a Cruiser Yachts dealer), has anybody heard if HQ is changing how they will do business in the future, especially in regards to the CC line?

What another CC dealer possibly leaving........

Looking at the website they had 9-10 CC boats from 2008-2009 as leftovers.

Maybe someone knows the real story

Just did a dealer search on the Nautique website for HQ's zip code and they come up as the dealer but contact info email address is to a S Roberts at CC.

      Who is he the rep?

just speculating but maybe they are closing that location. Isn't the Lake Wylie location the main one?

I know the story. They closed their Lake Norman store (Where I got my boat) and are not just operating out of Lake Wylie on the NC/SC Boarder. According to Tony Quinn (Owner) he owns the land up at Lake Norman but there is too much overhead right now to keep it open.

Either way their service is not so great.

I beg to differ....Tony has been great and has always taken excellent care of me and my Super Air...i just had them winterize and oil change last week and they even came and did a pickup and delivery for me. Talking to Tony, their lender on the dealership's floorplan and Tony did not see eye to eye...so he asked them to come pick up the Nautique inventory. He still has the boat storage and docks full and will do any maintenance/service and he mentioned consignment..but from the atmosphere with lenders, I don't blame him for wanting to get out. When you have something else working for you like he does, who needs the day to day headaches and stress. I will continue to use them as long as I'm an owner...

I have had bad experiences with the dealership since purchase. Not returning phone calls, no definite answers, and just lies. I worked at a boat dealership and thats how I met BT at the Lake Norman store and bought my boat. It is just a different atmosphere at HQ and personally I do not think they treat customers the right way. I did not know they dropped the Nautique Line but when I was there in Sept. he sort of mentioned not having them anymore. I just believe a dealership would do better if they were honest on their promises and came through on promises where BT lacked and anyone else at HQ would blow you off. Tony did deliver my boat back to me the last time it was there for warranty issues, but that was after it wasn’t ready on time and we spent 3 hours in their parking lot before anyone came out and tried to help...I would not recommend buying a boat from them from my experiences.

Probably as anxious as they have been the whole time.

So, does this mean HQ is no longer a dealer, or are they just no longer stocking CC inventory???

From what it seems they no longer have any new boat inventory of any kind......

HQ is no longer a dealer for Supra, Moomba, Nautiques, Campion or Cruiser's The dealership will be closed as of the end of December. They are only completing service and warranty on boats brought in at the end of November and first of December.

Danny from Southtown Riders will be leasing the HQ location at Lake Wylie as of January 1st 2010 and will be the Supra and Moomba dealer. They will service any inboard or V drive and can do warranty for PCM and Indmar marine engines.

Southtown will only sell and do warranty for Supra and Moomba. I have not heard who will be the Nautique dealer. As of now the closest dealer for warranty is White Lake. GE credit has reposessed all of the inventory from HQ. It seems that no one is in the position to pick up Nautiques in the Charlotte area due to being so risky in this economy.

I have also heard that all the boats got reposessed. I hope a the Nautique line gets on at a good location.

I hope so too, the sad thing is that it could be sometime before we see a Nautique dealer in the Charlotte area. All of the boat companies are struggling right now. And to think the prices are going up for 2010
