2009 Recall Notice???

I just received in the mail a vaguely worded recall notice regarding my 2009 211 Crossover. The notice isn't specific, but appears to refer to the fuel system. It says, in essence, bring the boat in for repair now, but if you're going to use it, make sure to use the blowers, etc.

Anyone know what this is about? My plan is to ski this weekend and take it in next week, but I don't want to blow up my boat.

There are six hose clamps that need to be replaced on your fuel system.

I've been running it for a couple of months without a problem with the original clamps. Any feeling whether this is a big enough problem to stop right now, or do you think it's OK to ski this weekend and take it in next week?

So does this mean I can't use the incandescent work/metal cage light under the motor on cold nights instead of winterizing? I guess if gas fumes are a potential problem, might not be the best idea huh?

I received the same notice for my 2009 SN206.

I did not get the notice for my 2009 SN 196.

I would call your local dealership and get on their schedule.

HI.
Here is the issue. # 8 hose clamps were used on the fuel lines on a number of boats thru a specific time frame. These #8 hose clamps will cause the the fuel hose to deform on the the hose barbs of fuel fitting componets particulary the in line fuel filter. Please take heed and have your Nautiques that are under the service bulletin warnings looked after ASAP.
