    Advice on 2002 Super Sport

I am interested in buying a 2002 super sport with the 320hp 350 and no trailer, NADA says 15,500 and the dealer is asking 20,000. It is in mint condition and has low hours. How much should i offer?

Try splitting the difference and work the winter angle on them and see where that gets ya.

Agreed. There are a lot of boats out there for sale. Where is the boat located. Also if you are going to be purchasing a trailer from them work them on that also.

Hard to say without seeing the boat or knowing the options. Figure that a new trailer will set you back 4K to 6K depending upon what you go with. Still, an '02 SS in mint condition for under 20K sounds like a good deal. Although NADA values don't mean much, wouldn't hurt to start there. Afterall, NADA is the first thing the dealer will pull out if you were trading in a boat.

NADA price usually reflects a single axle trailer included. NADA values are a little low according to people on here. I would guess his price would be fair if trailer was included. Also there is a used trailer in the classifieds on here if you make a deal and need one.

"NADA price usually reflects a single axle trailer included." I think that is incorrect. NADA should reflect the boat value only. You can also run trailers through NADA to get an idea what the value might be. It won’t be much for a 2002 anyway. You will always get a low number for NADA. Expect to pay more, especially if its mint condition.

I agree that it sounds like a good deal, but 17,500 would be even better if you can pull it off. I doubt many people are buying during December which should help you position.

If You read the notes it only includes the trailer if there is a asterisk next to the model you choose. Sorry. Either way 20k is too much for that boat without a trailer. ou could find one with tower and ballast and all that stuff or find a super air around that price. Good luck

I believe the 2002 NSS still had the defective teleflex digital gauges - make sure of two things:

                1
That they have been replaced with the analog counterparts or with Faria gauges.

                2
If the gauges have been replaced - is 350 hours really the total number of hours, as by default the replacement tach/hourmeter will start at 0.

                Good luck...
