I don't know, but I suspect that CC values the Masters more than the Worlds. BKH

It is a sad day for CC not to be pulling the worlds. For me growing up I always looked at and still do look at what the pros use in equipment and which boat pulls them. I have been luckey enough to have my share of Nautiques but over time I have to admit the race is alot tighter. I plan on buying a new 200 and retire my 196 03. Had CC not come out with the 200 I may have been waving a different flag!!! In Canada it has always cost more for a CC then any other competing brand but in the end it was always worth it in quality and preformance. Lets just be happy for now we have the best ski boat made and the best company that stands behind there product!!!!!

Hopeful they continue to stand behind the boats. Didn't they just cut the warranty? My boat has been in the shop for just over a month waiting for CC to send a part. This has not been a big deal because they store it inside and my wife can park in our garage. I worry that if something happens in the summer I may loose a few weeks waiting on CC to service their warranty.

R & D???? best boat of the market??? Prices???? JD Powers????
We're not talking about that in this topic. I guess pulling the worlds during 50 years (??) did not mean CC did not invest in R&D during those years.
And yes, CC has the best ski boat of the market so I want to see it in the best tournament. For me it gives a status, a prestige a lusxury image. Best Boat, best tournament.
2011 worlds will be different for me, for sure.

If CC decided that spending an enormous amount of jack in this economy to pull the worlds, vs., laying off more employees, which is devastating to all involved, they made the right decision. People and their families first...........bragging right's not even a blip on the radar.

I call this statements demagogy.
When you go on a diet, do you stop eating everything or just those foods that are contributing to the problem?
I also wonder why everyone on PN assumes that it was CC's decision. Maybe the IWSF went with MC because of their comfort with the 190/197 compared to the new CC 200. Isn't this plausible?

Very good point! PDT_003
Maybe there are some underlying issues with the SN 200 or CC or the combination of the two that presented this situation for the Worlds tournament promoters.
Maybe CC was unsure of putting the SN 200 in the worlds for thier own underlying issues ......Kind of makes you wonder :?:

Anyway for me it's a pity that CC lost the train and MC took it.

Code:"Following detailed discussions with boat manufacturers over the past six months, the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) has just announced a major six-year official tow-boat agreement with MasterCraft, the premium manufacturer of inboard wakeboard, waterski and luxury performance boats. This will cover the World Championships for Tournament, and Disabled Waterskiing, Wakeboard and the Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup series."
Anyway with your comments, I can see what can think a lot of people: issues in the new SN200. The perfect thing to launch a new model... NO!

I agree with GasMan here. The difference in company culture and loyalty to their employees between CC and MC are worlds apart (no pun intended). How many employees has MC laid off in the past year? How many plants have closed? How many suppliers are suffering because of MCs poor decisions? The only place MC has left to invest right now is marketing. They need to off inventory.
CC on the other hand, during the same time frame has laid off very few, kept production going, and invested in their employees by offering quality training during production downtime. In turn, they have introduced a record breaking towboat and continue to lead all other manufacturers in towboat innovation. If this company culture and pursuit of perfection means that they have to pull out of a tourney or two, I say it is definitely worth while. Lets keep our focus on the bigger picture here folks and not worry about the petty details like "official towboat of whatever". CC is the best there is at what they do, hands-down. I don't need an "official towboat" designation to tell me that I'm riding behind man's perfection.

Pulling the stringers!
Like evey other thing in life it comes down to either money or who you know or both.
Yes we can all say and feel that CC is the best boat maker but there is always a higher power making the moves pulling the stringers! From a small boy watching the neighbour on the lake skiing behind a nautique to my parents taking me to watch the worlds I wanted a ski nautique. I bought my first one in 86 and have been luckey enough to buy many more new ones. But to me evey one I have bought mattered as to what tournament it pulled. I was proud that I had an "Official Ski Boat"!!!! When I skied my course, behind my Nautique on my lake I felt I had the top equipment and I was comparing myself to the likes of the LaPoint brothers, Mclintocks, Mapple as well as the top woman skiers like Todd, Graham and Overton. I felt if I had the equipment I would be on a fair playing ground to compare with my idols.
I will buy a new 200 but it won't mean to me the same not to tell people that come ski with me that this is the official world ski boat. It pulls all the best skiers in the world at the greatest waterski tournament in the world.
Those moments that put my boat up on a pedestal above all others will be lost and yes along will by my warm feelings of being "Proud" of my boat.
Will I get over it???????????
NO
