Once Again thanx for the advice.

Had to re-arrange the test drive of the 210 09' to tommorrow since were having pretty horrible weather which is unusual here in SA but oh well climate change
    - must be a sign. Besides that Richard is an awesome guy and have thought about asking the price on a 230 and will find out, have decided against the tige
solely on it's performance at the demo the boat felt heavy and lagged behind especially with the 343hp motor. The throttle and shifting was terrible as was the
ride compared to the 211. However props up to their wetsound speaker systems - man their awesome as well as their interiors and colour options -
Awesome looking boat but not too keen on their wake which is too explosive and steep, the landings nearly broke my ankels and the turning behind the boat felt awful.

Must say I went to boating international just for a peek at the new 2010 Malibu's and must say i'm curious and what do you know an awesome salesman there gave me a
full brochure and offered a test drive that I'm pretty keen to set up. The only thing that puts me off on the malibu's is the Indmar engines which I haven't heard good things
about. Look I know this is a Nautique forum and thus biased in some aspects but this is serious money and i want the best boat possible and i'm asking for advice perferably
from experience and not hearsay becuase my major options will be the malibu's or the nautiques. I'm looking at the 210 and possibly the 230 (which is unlikely cause storage
might be a problem unless we remove and then add the platform every time we take the boat in and out.

But then on the Malibu side it's possibly the Wakesetter 23LSV or the VLX which i musst say I'm impressed with due to the interiors once again and their sound systems
(Rockford Fosgates) also their so much more (bang for your buck), but what i want t know are their wakes any good compared to nautiques honesltly. My options are
a fully kitted out 210 (with everything - I mean everything) versus a 230 with standards and a few optionals. Or fully kitted out 23LSV or VLX.

Thanks for your time and advice guys - happy boarding and skiing. May warm water and weather bless your boats.

    Cheers from SA.

Oh any Yes to all of you the first price is US Dollars ( 2010 SAN 210 all kitted out is $120 335 with import costs)- pricing for boats here is ridiculiously high we have to import everyhting and as dockdon explained there's tax and vat, plus other costs like insurance etc. Will get you back to pricing on the other boats but the tige 22ve for example almost all kitted out was $113 000 about R850 000 south african rands. everything is multiplied by 7.6. Cheers

the vlx wake and the 210 wake are fairly similar if you ask me. i have spent extensive time behind both. the 210 will be a little more dense, more solid. it has the ability to get steeper as well, although with the power wedge 2 clicks up, the vlx wake is extremely verty. judging by you one statement of the tige' wake being too explosive, the vlx or the 210 would be a great wake. they can both be small and mellow or huge and straight up.

honestly, i would say build quality is about the same now. IMO, nautique has kindof not fallen back, but is not ahead of everybody either like they used to be. i have been in a lot of newer (post 06) nautiques that just seems to not hold up as well as say the 01-03 boats did. with that being said, the malibus are about the same way. so in terms of build and interior quality, i would say not much difference. one thing i do like about the mailbus is how finished they look on the interior. carpet everywhere, very clean looking. the new 210 have a lot of exposed fiberglass, which some people like. just doesnt look as finished to me. the reason why i would choose the 210 over the vlx is the power train, fuel consumption, and handling. you simply cant better the PCM or the way the nautiques handle. everthying else is about on the same level, imo.

havent spent any time behind the 230 or the 23lsv. i havent never really heard good things about the 23lsv. big boat, big gas bill, not that great a wake (coming fromt the malibu folks around here). i would imagine the 230 is fantastic, just a beast, but have never been on one in the water, only the showroom

I will say, if you are somewhat considering petrol comsumption, the Malibu is the LAST BOAT YOU WANT TO OWN. The VLX's consistenly burn 1.5-2x more petrol than the 210s we ride. Thats no exaggeration.

Well tomorrow i'm test driving the 09' 210 nautique will tell you how it goes, the 230 is about $10 000 more in cost price on the previous 210 price i gave you which is really stretching me thin.
Second off it all depends on the space of this 210 and the feel of the boat, if it feels cramped i will probably buy the 230 but well $10 000 is alot of south african rands and i'm already pushing it with
the 210 to be honest but well we'll see. Still would like some more input guys thanks but will tell you how it goes tomorrow sometime. Cheers

            Hi all ;-)

Just got back from riding the 210 man oh man it's finally over and decided the 210 was beautiful but for another $8000 more I waas offered a 230
with the standard, limited and team edition packages and all the extras and i took it running now just a four month wait. Just so everyone knows
the malibu supplier here in SA is ripping people off, went to check there so called 23 LSV wakesetter and saw that in actuall fact it's a 23 LSV
sunscape just with wakesetter decals, how i noticed is that it had the diamond hull and didn't come with some of the standards.
After i pointed it out and asked for vin numbers to check which i did the salesman retracted his statment and tole me the truth which put me off
the dealer and unfortunately the boat. So Officially in four months all can welcome me to the nautique family with my new 230. Just one question
does the 2010 230 come with the FCT3 tower since i like it more and the z5 rack fits under it nicely.

What really convinved me was those PCM ZR409hp motors the torque is awesome, clean pull off no lag and the boat makes the perfect wake
especially for goofs (goofy boarders) like me and my dad was amazed at the size of the surf wake and that sold him as well. Whoever designed
the fold down tower - i bow down to your genius as it's sooooo easy - i let my sister do it -(WITH ONE HAND) LOL!.
Must say this is my first inboard and proper wakeboard boat and i'm glad i'm going big might as well.

Thanks for all your input. Your advice and all the helpful hints from everyone on the forum, this site had been more than just helpful it's sold me
as a nautique buyer and soon to be family member, already preaching to the public. My friend brent just bought a mastercraft X -14 and I can't
wait to see his face when he sees my sexy boat and that wake - Sorry about the droning just so proud and elated.

Cheers - all the best for the future guys.

The FCT3 tower is easy to fold, but be careful as it doesn't fold low enough to get into most garages.

                Congrats on your purchase!

I must admit I am a little surprised that the overwhelming opinion is that Nautique blows everyone else away.

Indmar makes a great product though. Surprised to see the bashing.

What color did you go with? I assume you had the pick of the litter since you had to order it.

Howzit all :-) and yeah I was surprised I would be a hardcore anything - especially a hardcore Nautique boating fan but I can honestly tell you
this boat is all that I imagined and exactly what I wanted, let me reiterate, what I wanted. Oh and too cedarcreek216 I honestly had the pick of the litter
and decided to go with a more classic scheme as I want this boat to last forever like all the other boats I own I know no matter the reputation colour always
fades so I went with a classic white hull, main colour i went with the new silverflake and then the stripes up top were down in black. I know it's not one of those
in your face and flashy boats, I want a boat that looks like a classic but preforms with the best - and that's what I got.

Oh and the interior was done in mainly white, black top stripe with black bead all the way round. Did not get the crest carpet as we saw one on a 09' 210
and it was in dismal shape if due to ownership or wear and tear and as we are avid river goers with plenty of drinking mates and young idiots so to speak
the carpets especially crest would not last (probably a good idea to remove the carpets full time when the mates are over LOL!).

I want to also proudly say we will be the first owners of a Nautique 230 of any kind in South Africa so bonus. I literally can't wait, already bought some
ronix boards and bindings - looking towards a wakesurfer and maybe also getting some LED lighting in the interior for the night cruises.

Hope y'all all having an awesome 2010 so far, if any of you are down for 2010 in June and are planning to go to any bodies of water just remember
it's our winter season but that won't stop me, so if you're on the vaal and see a Nautique 230 give us a shout.

If you are spending all of that hard erned dough drive them all and get the best bang for the buck. I like Nautiques alot and they are nice but they are getting crazy expensive and the competition is building some real nice boats also.

I think this is probably my favorite color combo as well. I love the all white look, could top it of by powder coating that tower white, would look great I think.

Thanks honestly, yeah the classics never fade or go to waste, also we got into contact with some groups out here who
are willing to do vinyl decals on our boat if we want them to, kinda like mastercraft and tige decals and wraps. So
if ever would like to look a little flashy, say for a few months i could always take them up on the offer and get
custom decals done to make me more flashy but I think i won't as i love a classic and the boat was bought for
me, not with anyone else in mind so as long as I'm happy I couldn't care less what other people think. Already
planning on crashing mastercrafts wakeboard event this year on the river with some of my buddies.

Got a few of the really good boarders and hot gals lined up to show off the nautique in style just to get people
to remebering who and what nautique represent, thhats families, good times and unparalleled history. LOL!

Cheers all and thanks cedarcreek216 for your awesome and well recieved comment.

                                tige 24ve vs. Nautique 230

I am looking a a boat but i only care about the wake. I have wakeboarded behind a 2004 22v for my whole life. I really like the Nautique 230 ,but i really want other peoples thoughts. I should be taking a demo of both boats soon.
