Out of curiosity, I asked my MC dealer for a ball park price on a 2011 PS190, and to my surprise, they're considerably less than an equally equipped 200CB. When I bought my first 196 in '06, I not only liked the performance above the MC, but the price was MUCH better as well. I really don't want to switch back to a 190, but the price is making it somewhat enticing. Long-story short, I can't fault JD for saving some pennies.

Reconsidered
After further consideration and working the deal on a 2010 promo, I'm staying in the Nautique family. Having a 2010 SN 200 delivered to my site in late September. No regrets here.

Very cool, Joe. I got talked into taking the kids to Sea World last Friday and got to see two 200s pulling the ski show. Very nice looking boats, neither of which seemed to have any trouble pulling long line barefooters.1998 Ski Nautique (Red/Silver Cloud), GT-40, Perfect Pass Stargazer 8.0z (Zbox), Acme #422, Tunable Rudder.

Wow this thread is still going. Now that we finally have our 230 and gained more understanding and knowledge into premium or high end boating I want to apologise and re-evaluate some of the statements i made in the beginning of this thread.
Whilst we have joined the Nautique family and will probably be Nautique's for life, I want to just send all my respect to the marine industry, supporters, distributors etc. because despite the economic times, these guys have continued to push frontiers in respect to customer satisfaction, functionality, design etc.
I have gained a new respect for all boating industries be it Malibu, Mastercraft, Tige or Nautique (just to name a few). Right now I just want to let anyone one know that boating no matter the brand is an excellent way of life (if your able to afford it). Not only has boating allowed me to explore avenues of recreation and sports but offered my family a reprieve from the everyday hardships of life, I've grown up around the "old-timers' who remember the days of hot rods and still preach the barefoot way (lol! - you know who you are).
Not too sound too sentimental or corny, but count yourselves (as I do)as part of the lucky few who get to experience these treasured memories and moments.
Well thanks for reading my slightly soppy and hopefully heartfelt message.
P.S. Happy 2010 - Stay safe, happy and best wishes to you and yours. Cheers

Lol!
Hi all :-)
Will upload a photo as soon as I get back home, I'm at university at the moment.Plus the boat I keep talking about is technically my dad's but since he's a barefooter
/slalom skier he prefers his outboards (he's still got his now 22 year's old raven (has a 250 Johnson motor), the first boat) - that too this day makes one of the best
barefoot and slalom wakes ever created.(I'm biased though)
I'm lucky in the sense that even though my day bought a 230, technically it will fall to me as wakeboarding has become a passion for me and my younger brother,
though a recent passion. I've been skiing for a while and still rate skiing as an all time favourite but wakeboarding seems to be (at least for me), a younger sport that's
breaking down social barriers - plus it pulls babes.
One question I do have is that we are having problems finding the right set up as it were. I've searched threads and pretty much figured a lot out for myself but it's late
winter here still so we haven't had much time to ski although we have been down the last two weeks.
Thank goodness for the invention of wetsuits, (and boardshorts and a vest to hide that your wearing them - MACHO!).
Anyway - we are soon to be new dealers of Nautiques in South Africa (specifically the vaal river area). We have stock of two new 2010 230 and 210 coming in soon and
were passionate about building up the brand and unity that Nautique represents here at home.
Take a look at our website - www.vaalnautiques.co.za - which should be up within the next 2 -3 weeks.
Sorry bout the bad etiquette, sincerest apologies - boating photo's will follow soon - hopefully this weekend when I have access to the camera.
Cheers. Stay safe, happy and cherished in 2010.
