bad stringer???

Looked at a 88 2001 today and tried to tighten bolts that I could see beside motor and one of them would not tighten. What to do?? Other five bit very well. Is this a big problem? Boat needs some repair but is priced accordingly. Thanks for any help.

if you raise the panel in the back between the stringers (middle floor panel in the back) there should be more bolts along the stringers there. Try tightening those up. If it is just the one bolt, you can probably inject some get-rot stuff in there for that one area.
