    Anyone from East Tennessee or have an opinion on this 2007 SANTE 220?

    Alright, if you've been following my other thread I mentioned a 2007 SANTE 220 with the ZR-6 engine in Elizabethton, TN.

    I'm concerned about the boat for a few reasons. It seems like the price is too low. It's from Florida (what's it doingin TN) and I'd love to look at it in person, drive it, etc. but being that I'm nearly 2000 miles away and Elizabethton, TN is not real close to any major airports, I'm kind of in a bind.

    The link to the boat is below. It did not sell on eBay but I am in touch with the seller.

    Anyone have any opinions on this?

    I would not be concerned with the boat's location, most all of us have bought a boat in a different state and driven to pick it up to save a few bucks. I drove from Texas to South Carolina for this reason. If the previous owner had it registered in FL for some reason and never changed the tags that could explain the location issue. The price does not seem way off, there's a lot of people in financial trouble and he may just need to get out of it for what he owes on it, you never know. Don't be afraid to ask the guy these questions, if there's something fishy going on he'll avoid them. If not, he'll answe honestly.

    Just my two cents.

      I'd call the Nautique dealer in the area and see if they know the boat. More then likely purchased from http://www.performancewake.com/

        The seller of this boat is a used car and powersport dealer. Red flag #1.
        He's not the original owner and can't provide any information about the boat. He picked the boat up to re-sell out of Florida. Red flag #2

        That being said, I can't get myself to let go of the boat because I like the color, like the model, like the low hours, like that it has the high HP engine, like that it has some extras, etc.

          He's got the horsepower rating WRONG (this one will be 375), but otherwise it looks like a good boat based on the information provided.

            Good price but not great..
            I would be a little concerned with the 20 hours....very low hours not always a good thing...many problems are created with lack of use if not stroed correctly
            If things check out, its a great boat at a good price!!!!!

                Elizabethton is up by Johnson City. I forgot the name of the road that leads in there. I'd say a 15 minute drive from JC to EBT.

                    I live in Kingsport which is 25 minutes from Elizabethton and can help you out if you need somebody. FYI Performance will no longer be the Nautique dealer is what I am being told, so no Nauti dealer close by at all. Shadracks Watersports is taking over their Supra / Moomba dealership. Billy, Chris and those guys are top notch, but the economy has killed boat sales around here.

                        Man I hate to hear that, those guys have always been helpful to me. I do outside sales for an industrial supply company and just took over that account, I was excited to work with them. Man thats a shame to lose another quality dealer in the Nautique world.

                          That boat was at the Tampa MC dealer, maybe he sold it at the wholesale auction or something?
