2008 SANLE 210 vs 2007 SANTE 220

Which would you choose between a 2008 SANLE 210 with the 343hp engine vs the 2007 SANTE 220 with the 375hp engine.

Assume costs are equal and both are brand new boats being offered by the local dealer. The 220 has kickin' stereo system already installed with tower speakers, whereas 210 does not. 210 only has rear ballast and no center ballast (but I'm assuming I could install that).

I'm leaning towards the 220.

what are you looking for in a boat? both are real nice and will get the job done.

if wake boarding wake is high on your list, then I'd go with the 210. if you just want to be able to wakeboard while having a comfortable boat..etc. then you could not go wrong with the 220.

If costs really are equal, and the 220 has a better stereo setup, complete ballast, AND the ZR6 (which is a very expensive option), it sounds like the 220 probably wins.

Add to that that the 210 is a Limited, not a Team, and I think I would go with the 220.

I agree, I think the 220 wins out.

Now, where is the tipping point in terms of difference in price? $5k, $3k?

Only problem with a 220 is if you want to ski the 210 will do better . How much are you talking in price there are a lot of loaded 210 teams out there at deep discounts.

It depends on what you want your boat to do well. They are both great boats but they are quite different on the water, you should definitely take both out for a water test.

220's are hard to sell. If your picky about the wake on the 220 you have to make sure everyone in the boat sitting perfect and in the right spot but if someone moved it will throw off the wake. How much are both boats btw...

you'd better have one long A$$ rope!!!!!

Buy a crossover if you think you are going to ski and wake.

Primary use will be surfing and wakeboarding (oh, and innertubing for the kitties). I don't know yet how much distance there is between the two prices but based on my conversations with the dealer, I don't think it's going to be much. In fact, if I were Nautique (not the dealer) I'd want to get rid of a brand new 2007 over a brand new 2008 boat.

Not sure where your price point is on those boats, but you might want to check out this 2007 220 at White Lake.

I see you have a 06 210 I have a 08 210. My 5' 100lb wife can pull through the wake at 32mph and 60' rope. Its not a 196 but its better than a 211. No way on a 220.

220 will handle more (peeps) weight for surfing .......for what we do , hang , wake , SURF , chill ,we would never have anything but the 220 !!! BOTH are great boats , just different !!!! hope you have a great time with whatever you choose !!

Come on Robie we both know why you lean towards the 220, deep down you know the 210's and 230's are the way to go with the SAN's!
