Needing info and ideas on how to install a ballast system

I just bought a 2004 Air Nautique SV-211 and if anyone has suggestions or pics of a ballast system setup and a schematic that I can look at while I am installing, I would greatly appreciate it. I am going with 3 Jabsco ballast puppy's and 3 bags. There are already switches on the dash but someone said to put relays on, so I need to know what's the best kind of relays to use and where I can purchase them at.

Just do a search on here, there are tons of really good ballast threads. Most are for 210's but will be helpful. The ballast puppys come with rocker switches, I just used those for my ballast install.

A friend had his 05 SV211 done. I believe he had a bracket built to go across the rear of the engine similar to the 07 and up boats for two of the pumps. I think the belly tank pump is mounted in the ski locker. He had the gauges for the old hard tanks removed and the installer put his rocker switches there. I never made it out to see his setup as he was out all season so I have not personally seen it.
The guy who did the install is Jim and Inboard Specialties in Delano, MN.

If it has the ski pylon you can mount the pumps on the top cross support angle as I have done with my impeller pumps. Make sure to vent the sacks so they will not burst nor stress the boat's hull. I have 3/4" through hulls to each pump, this was the stock setup. There are also ball valves with extensions on the handles so you can reach them inside the motor compartment. The front tank in my boat uses a fill hold inside the front ski locker towards the rear of the opening. My guess is that 211's without the belly tank will have the through hull but have a T plug in this one, I could be guessing wrong? I have done it with and without relays, either way use #10 wire to the pumps and pull the power directly from the battery (fused at the battery of course).

If you decide on an impeller pump system and do not already have your pumps, I am putting together a group buy on the Jabsco 18220-1127 pumps in the group buy room. These are the impeller pumps that most people recommend for this application.

We are not sure about price yet. At the end of next week I am going to take the tally and see what the best price I can get for all is. At that point, each person can decide whether they still want to participate. If a lot of people are no longer interested, the seller may then increase the price. It is an iterative process, but one I will do my best to finalize within the next 2 weeks.
