    2005 226 nautique

I am looking at a 2005 226. I have tried to look at the 2005 brochure to figure out what the nautique 226 is. It is not the pure wakeboard boat as that was listed later in the brochure. Is the nautique 226 a crossover for skiing and wakeboarding? I would really like a crossover as I ski and my boys board. How is this as a crossover if this is the precursor for the current crossover?
Thanks in advance for the advice.

I had a 2003 226, exact same boat. Top notch boat, tons of room, deep freeboard, wake is pretty big if you expect to run the slalom course. We only board and surf now, I don’t slalom anymore but I did when I had a 1979 Nautique so I know what people look for in a slalom wake and the 226 is not good slalom boat. As a wake board or surf boat its hard to beat. One quirk about the 226, it has a low bow and will nose under if your not careful, this is only a problem when ballast are full and a load of passengers. The transom walkthrough is very nice except when its time to change the impeller if its has the PCM 330. I think the ZR6 impeller is on the opposite side thus it not hard to work on. All in all it’s a great boat. I upgraded to the 230, got a great deal but have not used it enough for a comparison so jury is still out.
