You probably came to the wrong website to get an unbiased opinion on this subject. Just about everyone here is a nautique owner, I am as well and would of course suggest the nautique. Although BU does make really nice boats also. Make sure you demo and ride behind them both, then go with whichever one you prefer.

Not sure where you would get a totally unbiased point of view on this subject. Everyone has an opinion based upon their ownership of a particular model. Both boats are awesome. But, I think we've pointed out some things above which favor CC. Also, while Malibu has caught up to some extent with quality and performance, CC has always been there. Their reputation for building a quality boat is deserved and is still being earned today.
Good luck and please keep up posted.

The gauges are the same ones that are used for the fuel tanks on all team/limited ed., so they are very reliable, and accurate.
As for the cover, most any cover should work, the 211 tower folds down much farther foreward than any of the other towers, so, it only rests on the very front of the bow. It shouldn't interfere with the cover much if any. At the very worst you might need to leave the front pole out of the cover. (not a big deal since its under a canopy) I used to keep my Super Air in a boat lift with a canopy, and I kept the cover on it with no problems.
Hopefully your decision will be an easy one.

Yes you want to collapse the tower on top of the cover. If you want some honest answers, I think you should check out jdpowers.com The surveys are sent to actual owners of the boats and they only comment about the boat that they own. They are not allowed to make comments about the other brands that they do not own. CC has won it for 2 years in a row and PCM won it this year (They have only done it for 2 years)

In the simplest terms possible. I got my SV-211 this year and we wakeboard, ski, kneeboard, and surf. Knowing what I know now I would buy the SV-211 again without thinking twice.

Just to put my 2 cents worth in... I am a 'soon to be' proud owner of an SV211. I owned an I/O for 16 yrs that I bought right out of college (my first boat). I loved it and hated to part with it, but while at an open house to test drive boats... the CC rep asked me to try out an SV211 and a 226.... I never looked back, there is no comparison, and I cant wait for my 211 to show up. While I can't use it until next year now, it arrives at the marina in 2 more weeks! I'd put some weight into the question of "what would you think if you saw a 211 drive buy"... I asked myself that question and you see what it got me! Can't wait to post some pics in the spring!2005 SV211

My first inboard was a Malibu - it was a nice boat, but nothing compared to the three Correct Crafts I've owned since then. Now I'm the prowd owner of an '04 SV 211 TE. The 211 is the most "family centric" inboard boat I've ever owned or used.
You might want to do some checking, but I suspect you won't find many CC owners who move to Malibu. However, the same can't be said about the move from Malibu to CC. Once you own a Nautique, you'll never go back.
The link that SGY posted concerning the touchless cover is dead on. I've seen several of those on our lake and they protect the entire boat from the weather - even when the tower is erect......

Drumroll please...........I've made my decision. The winner is.....
An 05 SV 211 TE.
It is officially on order. In additon to the Team Package I added Docking Lights, Rear Tow Pylon, Rear Cleats, Tonneau Cover, and the Removable Rear Seat. I brought my Cobalt to my dealer and said my final goodbyes. The final test drive put me clearly over the edge. While I always try to find something I don't like prior to buying anything, I simply couldn't do it with the SV 211. What a great package! I also had the benefit of seeing some very choppy water which I see alot of at my lake and the ride was surprisingly smooth. The boat felt rock solid. Hopefully I won't dissapoint anyone with my color choices, but I had to go conservative. Silver Cloud Hull w/Titanium stripe. Titanium interior with Black piping. The kids will be dissapointed that I didn't go for Fusion Green or Crush, but then again they aren't paying for it.
I appreciate all the feedback you provided. It certainly helped me to feel that I've made a well informed decision.
See you on the water!!

Wow!! you will not be disappointed and the colors sound great. I'm sure someone out there has one to match and can post some pictures!?!
Something else that Nautique has going for them is,...... Nautique owners don't seem to be POed at anyone who does not agree - Nautique owners seem t be more helpfull - take this sight for instance - not much moanin' and cryin' and fightin' - everyone is here to help and support the cause. Nautique owners seem to be quality people overall.
You will see the same attitude where ever you go with your Nautique. I think it started with Grandpa Meloon - the Meloon family and all of the Nautique staff go out of their way to make this a positive experience!! You see it in the quality of the boats and in the quality of life on and off of the water.
Owning a Nautique is a way of life - a good life!!
Thanks CC
