Docking Lights on CC DD

I found out a while ago that you couldn't get docking lights as an option on the DDs from CC. And I never really got a clear answer. Some dealer said he could put them in easily aftermarket. BTW he was at a nautique dealer. Yet another says there is some physical obstruction. Well, can they be done? B/c I find that when docking and people are anywhere in front of me, I just blind them w/ the tower lights and it almost sucks. If we had docking lights, this problem would not exist. Also, we could put some pencil beams which is really what the boats need, not fogs. Fogs don't help when you wanna see straight down the lake at high speed! :P

So does anyone know if they can be done?

Docking lights that CC uses wil only fit in V-Drives because of the depth of the bow area. The 216 is not deep enough and the deck will need to be cut as well as a notch put in the center bow pad so the light fits. No chance in the world of getting the lights in a 206, however, I'm sure an after market light could be found that would fit in the 216. The wires are not there because it's not an options but to wire in the lights wouldn't be any problem either.

i had docking lights installed on my 99 ski. the dealer installed with no problem. they are great. bought the lights online.

Yeah the bow does go really close to the water... sometimes inches away if thats what your talking about, but i don't/didn't think that would be a problem.

On the 216 it's the space between the hull and the deck. There just isn't enough room there. Docking lights could be mounted on a 196, there is no bow to worry about.

I didn't think about that aspect. I would hope that there is a very good seal!
