    Towing a 09 210 with a 08 Tahoe

Anyone know what kind of drop you need, I hear 4-10 inches, but am not quite sure, it is a Eagle tralier. I have the air leveling system on the Tahoe, so it's not going to drop nearly as much as without it.

I am thinking of getting a B&W Tow n Stow, which is a multi level hitch, but now sure I need a 10 incher, its significantly more expensive than the 6 inch.

Is it a single or Dual axle Eagle. I would get a level and find the same trailer. Jack it level on a level surface and measure from the ground to the top of the hitch. In my DHM dual it's 19" Then take 400 lbs (average tongue weight) and put in the back of the Tahoe. Then measure to the middle of the receiver. The difference is going to be the drop you need within an inch. I think with a dual axel its more critical so you load the tires evenly. Good luck. By the way I tow mine with an 05 Tahoe with a 3" drop.

I never even thought about this. I tow with an 03 Z71 Tahoe and only have a 2" drop on it. I never thought I would need more than that. Guess I should go to the shed and hook it up and do some measuring.

A 10 inch drop on a tahoe would drag the ground. a 2 inch drop is probably right up your alley.

            Thanks Rick!

Well, I did measure from the middle of the hitch to the ground and it is 25 inches. With the auto-leveling shocks, I don't think its going to lower more than an inch, so lets just say it is 24 inches from the middle of the hitch to the ground. Unfortunately, I don't have access to my boat and dual axle trailer right now.. If I was to use the DHM trailer measurement that Rick provided, and level would be 19", then I would guess that the 6 inch drop is all that I would need. Anybody have a measurement of a level Eagle trailer with 15 inch rims handy
            Thanks!

with the level ride system your not going to see it drop any loaded or unloaded it has a sensor and will adjust it's self back to the same ride height, if it doesn't then you've got the vehicle over loaded.

When I bought my 07 Tahoe, I though that I would be fine with a 2" drop. Had to make a return trip to the auto store to get the 6" drop when the jack would not even go high enough to get the trailer on the hitch. These newer body style full size SUV's from GM have a high hitch mount on them.

I use a 6" drop for my 216 (tandem axle trailer) on our 2009 Yukon with Autoride.

My Tandem Eagle w/14" tires under a 206 is around 17.1/2" to the top of the ball. You may want to check their site for additional info.

2'' drop is perfect. I have a 09 Tahoe and tow both a dual axle and a sigle axle (both Eagle trailers) and the 2'' is perfect for both...

I use a 6" drop to tow my 211 with an '07 Tahoe with autoride. My trailer is a tandem ramlin. The prop guard still drags too frequently IMO but I don't want to take it any lower. It's crazy how high the reciever is on the newer tahoes!

I think the hitch is higher on the newer body style because the reciever is built right into the bumper whereas the older body style the reciever hung below the bumper...
