the one portable ladder idea someone on here had was to use a rope handle. Tie the rope to the rear lifting eye that allows the handle to go down far enough to be a step. I like Jeff's idea better, but this is a possibility.

Of course if you're just cruising and then parking to float and soak in the water totally different story, and of course the lakes around here are pretty choppy most of the time so if you're on a calm lake again, not as big of an issue. Just my two cents, which aren't really even worth two cents.

No worries, I probably could have started the post off with a different first line and it would not have seemed as offensive. Just glad to hear there is more than one person who has kept boating while pregnant and been fine, that means next time we don't have to be so scared about it. The only time my wife went out was when we test drove our new boat, stayed off after that and I know it killed her not to be able to go out and play.

The mrs. skied with the first early on. Timing was differenent for the second so she generally avoided the boat. We could avoid the bumps, but we ski on a tight lake and the turns did not agree with her. Best thing I did I was buy her a new ski after the first, just to force her back on the water after having to stay off skis for most of the season. It worked great.

I say be active and just avoid impacts. My wife snow skied through months 3-4 and we have many friends who did the same. The wifey was actually at the gym working out the same day she gave birth. Needless to say she is a bit obsessed with workouts and qualified for the boston marathon 9-months after having our son.

I am proud of her and how we approached everything.
