Anyone use ez dock or similar

    Hi everyone,
Anyone use or have info on ez dock or similar drive on floating dock.I see people using them for jetski's but we would like to use one under our 08 super air 236.Our marina uses floating docks held in place by moorings as opposed to piling. So we would need to attach the ez dock to the marina dock.I am open to boat lifts so if anyone has info/opinion on a type, make and model of lift please send it my way.Below is a link to ez dock.
    Thanks

I don't have the drive-on part you have, but I do have an ez-dock at my place in Iowa. If I could do it all over again, I would not have gone that route. It is really a PITA putting it in (and together) and taking it out (and apart) each year. They say you don't have to take it apart (just remove the poles) in areas that freeze over, and that you just anchor it and it will rise up on the ice, but I never believed it.

As far as the drive-on part, I would think that it can't be great for your gelcoat. On a nice boat like that, I would really recommend paying the extra to get a real lift.

Exactly. I can't believe that these were really designed for inboards. My recollection of how these look would mean they would break off your tracking fins, damage your through-hull intake scoop for your engine raw water cooling system, and if you have a paddlewheel for your perfect pass... f'gettabout it.

            Nautiques on jet dock

I guess my posting is a little confusing.I do not have the ez dock.I wanted an opinion from someone that has used one.I believe they leave a slot up the middle for the underwater gear fins, shaft, prop. Here is a link to photo's of several nautiques on drive on docks. Also a video of parking a zodiak on one.Looks a little touch & go.

Still looks like no room for error, and still looks like you could tear off an intake scoop.

This is also bad for the lake floor. In Texas, boating rules prohibit gunning it to get on trailers (not that every macho fisherman does not do it) due to what it does to the lake bottom at the end of the lift. It's actually one of the few rules in Texas.

The reason it is named Jet Dock is probably because it is really made for jet skis/boats.

We use this lift for our nautique on a floating dock and it works flawlessly!

Here's a new product I ran into at the Portland Oregon Boat Show - www.floatingpointlifts.com Their design is simple and their cost point is attractive - the other lifts I have looked at had mechanical/hydraulic parts and price was around 12K. This boat lift was under $6K and it is moveable. If I win the lottery this year, I'm buying..
