How Will CC Do In 2005?

I've been thinking lately about the '05s and come to the conclusion that there hasn't been much '05 stuff to think about for CC. Are they taking a break this year? If they are, I thinks its about time honostly. They deserve a pat on the back. When you think about it, the last three-four-five years have been pretty intense. Lets re-cap...

Late this year CC intorduced the SV 211 - BIG HIT!
Last year ('03) CC introduced the 226 and re-did the 216 and intorduced the 206 - All Major Hits.
Previous year(s) they re-did the 210 to set the new standard in the wakeboarding industry, introduced the TSC2 to set the new standard in the slaloming industry - Major Hits As Well.
And before that, they introuded the new "N" style on the 75th anniversity and made the "smart pod."
And I think right before that the re-did the FCT.

I think thats it, sorry if I forgot anything. But it seems to me that the last half/decade for CC has been very productive. However, now that they don't have any new "inventions," will this give the other companies a chance to backstab CC sales wise? Even Mid Ohio said in some other post, that CC has nothing new this year, and that may hurt their sales....

So what do you think this year will be... normal as in avg. increse in sales, skyrocket due to the growing industry, or CC have a very slow year due to not having many new things to offer :?:

I think 05 will be a very interesting year.

nautique have pretty much not changed, which is fine, their boats are the best (IMO) and require only minor tweaking.

This year we are investing in a super sport, having looked at everything else we decided its the best boat for us.

But, there is a BIG BUT this year. MC have made a stack of changes, and in my opinion brought themselves right onto the line with nautique. look at the 05 X2 for example:
    -Cruise control as standard
    -Electronic throttle as standard
-new machined billet lumps of aluminum allover the dash
-very impressive and reliable "lock down" racks (ok year number 2 on those)

I feel that this year anyone shopping for a 20-21 foot wakeboard boat will have a really tough call betweent the 05 210 super air and the 05 X2 package.

    Just my 2 cents..

Thats pretty much what I was thinking. I don't know much about whats new for Malibu or others, but I know MC is having much improvement. They came out with a salt water series. Not that any of us would consider it, but its still a new boat. They also have everything mentioned above plus a whole new tower desing which will prob. get rid of the infamous problem of MC's towers rattling and shaking. I agree, they are quickly catching up...if not ahead in styling...

I ahd a good shake of the New MC tower it is does still move, but is silent.

The saltwater series is just add ons to the larger boats (x80's etc..) If it was offered on an X2 i may have actually gone on that route as i board on the sea, ut th ebaot would have been a compromise over the nautique.

wonder where this battle will be in 06! I REALLY hope CC has its R&D dept in overtime right now otherwise there may be alot of brand switching in the 06 year if they keep improving and CC stays still.

          Nautiques are great, but...

I believe there is still alot of room to improve. sante- How about some tower speaker setups that aren't so big and gaudy, BOISE has made a mint with tiny speaks w/ killer sound, Wider beam, and a few extra inches of length wouldn't hurt, ...Clarion marine is a whole separate animal. Front ballast tanks? .... I wouldn't trade in my rig, except for a new Nautique, but these are some of things I notice and (what's interesting) a few of my non boater friends notice too!

Hmm interesting, It would be nice ot see some of these changes for sure.

More ballast and some innovative tower speakers would be very welcome in my opinion.

I think you have to remember that those little bose speakers (Mini-Cubes) only hold about 25 watts, they sound good but don't go very loud at all. But i bet theres a solution somewhere!
