A Few Questions For Cover Sports Cover Owners

I have a 1997 Ski Nautique 196 and I need to get a towable cover.
I have several Questions before I give Brent a call.
I'm looking at getting almost an exact copy of this cover (East TX Skier's)
    http://planetnautique.com/vb3/showth...ersports-Cover

    1. Does it require any poles for support?
    2. Can you dock the boat while the cover is on, and put the cover on while docked (access to one side and platform)?
    3. Do you need to remove the rear view mirror when the cover is on?
    4. How much would someone expect to pay for a cover very simmer to East TX Skier's?
    5. Does anybody have Brent's current contact info?

    Thanks for all your help!

I believe Brent is out of business, as the number I have for him is disconnected. I need a towable cover too, so let me know if you find a supplier. Rankin is out too I believe.

I suspected that, but am sorry to hear Brent is out of business. On the off chance that you can get a hold of him, I can answer your first few questions.

      1. No poles required. It's drum tight.
      2. If you can stand on the platform, you can roll the cover forward from the nose, center it, attach the side hooks, then the rear hooks, cinch tight, and you're done.
      3. If you can fold it even with the windshield, you might be able to leave it up. I remove mine ever time, but I did before.
      4. I about paid $655 + $20 or $25 for shipping. The cover was $615 + upcharge of $40 for red.

The information I posted for Brent is the only info I have. Contact Cory at evolution if Brent is out of business. He and Brent split mafacturers when they left Rankin---Brent took CC and Cory took Malibu, etc.

It looks like Rankin is back open... they posted on BOS 4 days ago. Their website won't be up for a few weeks but they listed a phone #.

Glad to know all of the above are apparently still in business. One thing I forgot to add to my post above was time from order to my receipt of the cover was just under a month, which is pretty quick by comparison. Over a year later, I'm still very satisfied with Brent's work.

Just to let anyone who is interested know, I got a hold of Brent and he gave me a estimate of around $800 for my 97' Ski.

Yea, I know. I will bring that up and see if I can talk him down, $120 increases seems a little high to me. We will see. I might just have a local canvas shop custom make one, I will be getting his estimate tomorrow night.

Maybe he'll go $650 on 2 of them, and I'll order one with you? With the demand on PN, maybe we can get a group buy going?

Any options to do a group buy from Cover Sports?

you could count us in for on one for our 236 if he has that pattern and the price is right.
